Toddler blanket

I want to make my 15mth old son a blanket for his bed for the coming winter. He's still in a crib now, but I would like for it to be big enough to use as a bedspread for a single bed when the time comes. I want to use really bright vibrant colours, but I'm terrible at trying to picture things only in my head. Does anyone have any pics of blankets they've made, or links to fun bright toddler blankets? This one is a baby one but you can keep adding squares to get the size you want. Change the the colors to something to suit you better:

I saw you question an immedietly thought of that exact pattern that Empress posted. I think it would be really cute for boys.
