Lenny finally has asked Penny to the Sock Hop Tonight

Well Penny has been waiting for Lenny to ask her to the Sock Hop and he has arrived all dressed in short black motorcycle jacket, rolled up cuff blue denim dungarees, black engineer (or motorcycle boots), pompadour with duck tail combed hair. Penny is just beside her self and will be the talk of the Hop

Wow, Lenny is the most and Penny is super cool too! I just hope he doesn't get too frisky on the dance floor. You know how those kids like to dance less than a foot apart. Ok, all my knowledge of the '50s comes from Happy Days.:lol

They're very cute together. I like the details like his cuffs and her poodle. Very nice job!:cheer

What cute couple! Looks like they just stepped out of the 50s alright.
I love 50s music even though I wasn't born until the end of the 50s.:)

Thanks for enjoying Lenny and Penny. They were a fun couple to make.

Someone asked if I had a pattern. Actually, I used this pattern for the body:

http://www.anniesattic.com/detail.html?prod_id=19083 (http://www.anniesattic.com/detail.html?prod_id=19083)

For the head I got one of these and cut the hair off, then made a cap, and added to strands of yarn to it to make the hair. This was the hardest part.
http://tdcreations.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=337 (http://tdcreations.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=337)

The jacket is Penny’s vest with a collar and sleeves. The pants I just took the skirt didn’t add any more after the first row, and then split when I got to a certain row.

The boots were the foot pattern done in black.

I have a tendency to play with patterns and change them after I make one like they have.

Thanks again and I am glad you all like them. I grew up in the 50’s with a teenage sister. I was a teen in the 60’s, but always liked the 50’s the best.:hook

I love the outfits. Those shoes are cute. I can remember wearing those black and white shoes~~~ You sure have been busy crocheting away and designing! Both outfits wonderful.
