I'm thinking of doing a Homespun scarf, maybe 3 or 4 inches wide, maybe 5 or 6 feet long. I think I'll do it in the triple crochet. What do you think?

I have done 2 scarfs in homespun so far. I think tr is a good idea! I did one in sc with a k hook and one in hdc using an N. Homespun is fun to work with, especially after you get a hang of where each stitch is! Have fun with it!:bounce

Homespun is such a pretty yarn to work with, espically scarves, hats, slippers and mittens/gloves!

Go for it!!

Any idea what Hook I should use for Triple? I've not looked to see what hook size they recomend on the label yet.

hi amber, i made several scarves out of the homespun, and i used the N hook, and did it in double crochet. was so pretty, all i did was make about 5 or 6 chains and then did the double crochet, DD loves them as does her friends who asked me to make them, told them i would for $. that yarn is to expensive and i just can't give all of my work away anymore. have a great night vicki:D!

amber..

this yarn works up great when you work on the back loop only.. and if you want some advice on what to use and what stitch and hook.. my advice is to swatch.. use what you think you will like do a few rows and if you dotn like it try something else

only you can know what you like and what you want it to look like ..

Thanks gals! I don't know if I'll do back row only, but I"ll play around with it. Now I'd better go see if I have an N hook!
