Months and months ago I started a list to feature crochet and hook websites. For the last few months the hosting site has had serious technical issues and new members were unable to join. In the last 24 hours, suddenly, I've had four new people join which makes me so very happy. :danc
Top 100 Crochet and Hook Sites List (http://www.topsitelists.com/start/yarngirl/topsites.html)
Please feel free to add your blog or crochet site to the list. The more the merrier, and when the list was functioning in the past it drummed up quite a bit of hits to my blog and website.
When you join, it will give you a code to place on your site so it can be ranked. Be sure to add it to your site so people can see and click on it. If you don't want to use a text link, you can use this button in place of the text.

Be sure to save it to your computer and host it from your server (or Photobucket).

I haven't been able to get to that site, and it still doesn't work. Is it just me? :? I almost wrote you about it today, Julie.

Did you try again Rachel? I changed the page layout and stuff, and tweaked a couple of other things since I could finally get into the 'control panel'. It is up... In the meantime, the list is over 14,000 hits now, much more than the last time I went. I got too depressed to go, you know. It wouldn't work, I didn't want to see it. According to their stats, you've had 940 hits to your site from the list. Not bad, eh? Keep trying if it won't load for you. Maybe a super-refresh if you use IE? :thinking2

No, 940 hits isn't bad at all! :hug2
I still can't get there. I'll have somebody more technically-minded than me look at it later. (I use Mozilla Firefox.)
Don't worry...it's probably not a problem on your end. I was just making sure.

I wish it was on my end, so I could fix it for you! :)) I need to check out Firefox, I'm using Mozilla 1.6. I'm afraid I'll lose my collection of bookmarks. A project for today! :ducky

I'm not sure what's wrong on my end. My internet is working fine and I don't have any site blockers, but the Top 100 sites keeps timing out on me. It's not a life or death matter to get in :D! ...I was just mostly looking to see if there were any new patterns to link to. :wink

How do you vote for a site?
Julie

The votes for a site come in when you click on the link on the individual website. I didn't say that well... Everyone who has their link on the list has an individual ID. They are supposed to put an HTML code on their blog or website linking back to the list. The code includes the IDs. If you go to one of the websites and click on that link back to the list, that gives a vote to the website. The votes aren't updated as they occur but whenever the list refreshes, usually every 24-48 hours. :))

Is this just for informational sites? Or sites for selling crocheted items as well?

Selling stuff too, Amber. Go for it! So long as it is featuring crochet in any form, you can register. Glad to have you join! :)h
