cant crochet

today as i was going through boxes...i was having a hard time getting one open...it finally let go...sending me into shock...as i realize that my middle finger and my ring finger on my left hand were in great pain....apparently i have ripped my nails almost totally off...and now i cant crochet until it heals because i am a lefty! :worried :( :irked :mad :cry :cry :cry :cry :bang :cry :cry :grumpy


does anyone know of a possiable way to get around this?

its getting better...but we think i actually killed all the nerves the those 2 fingertips because they are numb still and while i was pinning fabric together i poked myself a few times and didnt even feel it...so i dont know if haveling no feeling in those is a good thing or a bad thing....i havent made up my mind yet.....so thanks everyone for being concerned....i hope none of this ever happens to any of you....:grouphug

Oh ouch!! Girl, I am feeling for you right now :( Find something fun to occupy yourself with....I hope your fingers get better very soon so you can crochet again. I know I would have a hard time if I couldnt crochet for a while! Keep us updated on how your fingers are and when you start getting the feeling back in them.

well today i went and cut the nail back as far as i could..and let me tell you on my one finger i have like no nail at all ...the other one is only half there...i think i can crochet soon i may try tonight!

ok well now i am totally nail--less...and well let me tell you...you dont realize that having your nails play a big part in actually being able to use your hand....i can crochet but i am having trouble holding the hook because well...without the nail....you finger feels sooooo diffrent...hmm...well i am going to try again....just thought i would give all you thoughtfull people an update....:grouphug
