Hi
I am a beginner at crochet, and I would like your advice on deciding whether the yarn I found at my local store is too expensive , reasonable price , or dead cheap as compared to the prices at your stores:

You may not have the same yarn at your stores, but I'm pretty sure you will find similar kinds.

Example, the "ostrich" yarn will be similar to fun fur, or feather yarn, etc.

I am going to Dallas, Texas in a couple of days and will be staying there for a couple of months. If the yarn prices somewhat similar to those in Walmart, Micheals, etc, I'll buy there itself. If they make a lot of difference, I might buy some here itself.

Thanks for the help!

Hello limecool! Welcome to Crochetville! Without knowing the ounces or grams on the beautiful yarns you've pictured for us, it would be hard to say. The fun fur style yarn you've pictured seems to be in line with my local Walmart. You could check the websites for Michaels (http://www.michaels.com/art/online/home) and Joanns (http://joanns.com/) to see the pricing averages available. I don't think Walmart has yarn on their website (but they should!). If you are going to be in the states for a few months, you could also order online from many different websites, such as www.anniesattic.com or www.herrschners.com. Hope this helps!
