Hi everyone,

Just wanted to show off my first (but not last) seraphina shawl. Okay the pattern was a @#$*@# to figure out. Once I did it worked up quick and easy. Let's just say I'm glad there were pictures with the pattern instructions. I used LB Homespun and it feels wonderful . I made it for my mom who is modelling it. I never pass up the opportunity to tell her what a labor of love it was to make this shawl for her :).

That has beautiful drape! It looks great on your mother. :)

I am working on a Seraphina myself, only I am using yarn on the other end of the spectrum--Cool Crochet by Bernat. It's taking me forever because the progress is slow with such a small yarn, but I love Homespun, and I might have to make another in Homespun.

Thanks for sharing,
Nicole

That is lovely! :cheer It is absolutely gorgeous! How many skeins did you use? I would love to make one for my Mom.

I used 3 1/2 skeins. I made my mom's shawl long (per request), but I probably wouldn't use over three skeins for myself.

You did a beautiful job! I know exactly what you mean about the pattern... I've started it about three times, and the pattern just hasn't made any sense to me, so I've given up. :P I'll try it again eventually... it really does turn out gorgeous.

Oh my, that shawl is beautiful. And your mom seems very happy to model it for your photos. It must have taken endless hours of work. But really, when you love what you're doing, you don't mind it. You did very well.

I was wondering, is it possible for somebody who has made this and "fixed" all the errors to share the "fixed" pattern? Or maybe just share the "fixed" parts?

Thanks!

Tina (not sure if it's a cpoyright thing or not...)

Debbie, you said just about everything I wanted to say, so I just copied it. :lol

That's heck of a good-looking mom you have (bodes well for you, right?) and she really sets off your beautiful shawl.

The shawl and the model are both lovely. I enjoyed making this shawl, because, once you have got the pattern set, it is very quick to make, and the end result is beautiful. (I must admit that I changed the shaping a bit, because I prefer a conventional triangular shape and the curving fronts were looking like crabs claws on me, since I am not tall and shapely).
