Okay. I need some help here. I've had a request for an American/Michigan flag. One fadding into the other.
#1. Can you fade in Crochet?
#2. Does anyone know where I could get a pattern for a MI flag?

I can't help with the pattern, but I'm sure you can fade in crochet. It will just be a very involved pattern. My guess is that you'll have to sort of have each flag pattern start to break up in the middle and intermingle a bit, as in a mosaic.

Kim's mosaic idea is good. The only other way I know to fade is to use several different colors of yarn that gradually grade from one color to the next, like dark pink, pink, light pink, pale pink, white. Doing it that way probably wouldn't be possible with the colors you'd have to use to go from an American flag to a Michigan flag.

Don't know where you could get a pattern. You may have to create your own chart (like this (http://crochet.about.com/library/n1eagle.htm)) for the Michigan flag and crochet from that.
