Freeform Mittens

I made these mittens last winter.
The cuffs are not freeform' they are a crochet rib & the rest is just made up as I went along using different types of yarn & stitches.
I know that some people don't like / understand / appreciate freeform crochet butI think if you just give it a go with a finished garment in mind then you might be as surprised as I was when these babies turned out.
Plus - nobody is going to have the same mittens as you as they will be unique.

Your mittens are very unique, truly one of a kind. I like the swirly feel. I keep telling myself (and others) that I'm going to try freeform, and every time I see someone else's work, I get a bit more inspired.
