I have recently finished a square doily that I am making into a pillow and wanted to the back of the pillow in shells. I have the basics, (dc,dc,ch2, dc,dc) in same space and (4dc,ch2,4dc) in corner. My only concern is what to do when I need to increase since it is in rounds and grows larger with each row. Also i am not sure how to start out with shells. Any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

if its in the square.. then your natural increases would be in the corners like in a granny square..

Well it did not work like a granny square because it is done with a shell in shell, not allowing for increases. So I added a dc in every other row before and after each corner. I posted a pattern in Original Patterns (http://p084.ezboard.com/fcrochetvillefrm53.showMessage?topicID=53.topic).
