Hi everyone ;)

I'd like to make a scarf for my mom for Christmas...I'd like to make a ripple scarf (I am really into ripples right now...lol) but I can't seem to find a pattern. I'd like the ripples to go horizontally across the width of the scarf. I have found some patterns where the ripples go across the entire length of the scarf but I would like them to go the other way. I don't quite understand the concept of the "ripple formula" that I found on the net. If anyone could pleas help me with a pattern or can explain how to make ripples, I'd truly appreciate it :)

Ripples are created by increasing a set number of stitches across the top of the ripple and decreasing the same number of stitches across the bottom of the V - If you haven't had any responses, or been able to figure this out on your own, I'll send you a simple ripple scarf pattern when I get home from work (my ripple patterns are at home) in about 5 hours. Sound good?

Lion Brand just affrf a chevron type shawl but it is owrked in two halfs you could probaly use that pattern and only make it as wide as a scarf

Thank you both for your responses.

I had seen the Chevron Wrap pattern but I didn't realize it was 2 strips sewn together. :think I am new to crocheting...could I just use a smaller hook and WW yarn and still follow that pattern?

:cheer I'll be thrilled if you could share that with me

Thanks again :manyheart

Forgive me for being an idiot but I'm trying to work this pattern...

Except I'd like to add one more point to the width. I'm not sure how many chains to add to my foundation chain in order for it to work. Could someone help? Thanks!

simonssez;
if i understand you right you want to know how to make it another ripple?
i know i have a site that gives you how many more stitches to add for more ripples, but i need to look for it in my collections of papers.
unless you get it before then.
