This isn't crochet, but I've looked every where I know and can't find a pattern for an old fashion apron. The kind that my granny's used to wear. The ones that cover your front as well as the lap. My one granny used to wear them all the time. I can remember sitting in her "apron" while she combed my hair or scrached my back. Can any one direct me to a site on the net? :cry :ty I want to make some to go with some kitchen towels I have made for Christmas gifts.

Go to www.simplicity.com and do a pattern search for "apron".

I have pattern 4282 and have made two from it, they work up very easily and I love mine.

These are sometimes called bib aprons. You could definitely find some patterns on eBay. That's where I found my patterns.

McCalls also has a bunch:

You'll do better by going down to JoAnn's (or wherever) and looking at the patterns. Simplicity doesn't have them all online.
Also look for sales. McCalls patterns go down to .99 cents at least once a month and Simplicity goes down to $1.99. Those prices are for both JoAnn's and Hancock.

:clap Yes it is the sewed ones. I never thought of going to Joann's. I can't
find anything at Wal-mart. And thank you for reminding me as to what they are called BIB...:eek I hate to pay for a pattern any more since I got this computer. Terrible I know, but it has me a bit spoiled I think. Oh well, guess I see if I can find one where you all have suggested.
