I am looking for a pattern for something like these:

www.smokydiva.com/Main%20...e1415U.htm (http://www.smokydiva.com/Main%20Web/Detail%20Pages/New%20Detail%20Pages/DetailPage1415U.htm)

The first link is just for "length reference", that's about how long I want it. But I don't like the front, plus I would like it to be more form-fitting.

The second link, is also a length reference...what I want to make is just a very long sweater, I don't like the front of the second either...particularly, I don't like the collar. I would want a collar, but straight instead of curvy like that one. I don't like the lace-up, I would rather make a belt that wraps around and ties in front.

Anybody know of any books/online patterns similar to what I'm describing? Or even one like the two above and I can modify it a little.

The 2004 issue of Simple Creative Crochet has some wonderful coat patterns. One is just below the "hip" area, the other has about knee length. It was suppose to be on display until Jan. 4, 2005 but you may be able to order it. It's by Better Homes and Gardens.

Last year's issue, their Premier issue has a LOVELY Casual Wrap Cardigan that could probably be lengthen. It's just divine and I can't wait to make it.

I would also try www.crochetpatterncentral.com and www.lionbrand.com and maybe even Crochet Fantasy magazine.

Hope this helps! :fc

Oh my word!! Thanks for those links, I've had the desire for a longer cardigan like you're talkin about since last summer but I put it on the back burner to start on holiday projects. I'll be lookin too, will post it here if I find anything.

I saw this leaflet in WalMart this weekend. It has a gorgeous sweater coat.

Coralie I have that pattern book:)h love the shawls. The only thing is that long coat doesn't have sleeves, it's like a long cape. It's very cute though.
