I have a strange pattern request. Maybe one of you have seen it in a book, or on line. I would love to have a lip shaped pillow pattern.

I have found fridgies, but I am not experienced enough to try to enlarge it.

I hope you can help me with this long shot request.

Thanks in advance.

Well since no one else replied I will give it a shot.

What size do you want the pillow to be? I will see what I can do tonight and let you know.

not too big...just a little accent pillow. I was thinking no more that a foot and a half across or maybe smaller. Like I said...if you have it in a book or somthing..i am willing to go out and get the book...i just don't know where to look...thanks for helping me.

Just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten about this. I have had to do some cross stitch but have done some of this on the side and hope to get most of it done this weekend.

This is just a suggestion but sketch out lips the size you'd like on paper and use as a template. Next crocheting a chain a little smaller than the width you'd like the pillow. Starting at one end start with singles or slip stitches and then one-fourth of the way start increasing the size of your stitches -- half-double, double, triple, double triple, etc. As you approach the center, then do the same in reverse -- double triple, triple, double, half-double. Then when you get three fourths of the way return to singles or slip stitches. At the end of the row, instead of chaining then turning to start the next row, continue around the the other side of the base chain and do the same thing you did on the first row.

After that you should be able to continue going around and around until you have a lip shaped pillow you like. Repeat for the other side of the pillow. Cut a lining out of matching fabric to match. Sew and stuff. Sew crochet pillow around stuffed lining.

Then what I would do is stitch in the middle of the pillow between the two lips to make them puff out and give them more definition.

I've never made anything like this, but this is what I came up with off the top of my head. If you try it, please let me know if it worked.

Here's how the stitches would look:

***.:::|||:.:|||:::.
...::||||::.::||||::...
'''::||||::...::||||::'''
***'':::|||:':|||:::''

Something kinda like that.

That is similar to what I am doing. I took this pattern: Lips Fridgie (http://www.crochetmemories.com/archive/february7.html) using a bigger hook and more stitches (4 of each rather than one), turning and continuing till the size it want. So far so good. We shall see.

OMG Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)h :) h:)h :) h:)h :) I can't tell you how much this is going to help me. *tosses all her other projects down* I'll get started on this right now.

You are so sweet to help me and knock that pattern out. And so quickly too. Your suggestions of drawing it up is something I would never have thought of.

I tried enlargeing the fridgie, but I was hopeless at it.

I do n't know much about crochet, but if there is anything I can do for you..just drop me a letter!

Thanks so much again

Thank you, RachelG. The first one worked fine. I am making a scarf for my fiance and wanted to put a little "hidden" pocket on the side that goes against the skin and place lips in it.... representing kisses. I know, kinda goofy, but I love him.:manyheart
