I want to make my niece a baby poncho. She will be 1 in April. But she is a big baby and already in a size 4T. What would be the best pattern? Thanks.

4T, wow! I have made several of Dot's short round poncho that Mamachelle modifed for a baby. You can find the pattern on Dot's site, though I am not sure the address off hand. It fits my 2 year old, but I would think that if you have the baby nearby to try it on, once you verify that it fits over head you can just keep going with the pattern. Just adjust the length/ # of rows to suit her. That poncho seems to be a hit with everyone that sees it!!!

Dot's is the best! The color on this isn't good but you get the idea. It was easy and fun to make. Now if that step daughter of mine would just send me a pic of the grandbaby in it lol!
