Beading and tapestry crochet were made for each other! The heavy patterned fabric perfectly supports the beads. My new "Bead & Felted Tapestry Crochet" book includes 10 beaded projects (some of which are also felted). You can see the projects at http://iweb.tntech.edu/cventura/BFTCprojects.htm

What is tapestry crochet? With tapestry crochet, one or more yarns are carried while another is single crocheted. Tapestry crochet does not look crocheted. In fact, the surface looks so much like woven fabric, that most people think that tapestry crocheted pieces are made on a loom! Please look at my web page at http://iweb.tntech.edu/cventura/rightstitches.html (http://iweb.tntech.edu/cventura/rightstitches.html) to see the stitch. For more information and links to free projects with tutorials, please look at http://www.tapestrycrochet.com/

I hope you will give it a try!

I loved your other books and I will be looking out for this one. It was your book that got me back into crochet after not doing it since I was a kid.:hook

If you like tapestry crochet, you should really enjoy this book! A variety of hook sizes are used for crocheting either tight or loose stitches. I especially like the bead felted projects because the large stitches make the project go fast - and felting in the washing machine is magical! There are several projects bead crocheted tightly, too - something for everyone! Since the book is self published, the easiest way to find it is on my web page http://www.tapestrycrochet.com/ (http://www.tapestrycrochet.com/) , because stores, for some reason, usually don’t carry my books. If you live in NJ, though, Nonna’s Yarn Shop in Denville has it.

This sounds really interesting! Your website is down today, though...any ideas when it'll be back up?

I am having trouble with my tapestrycrochet.com site host. For some reason, the page does not work with all computers now. I have a very similar site at http://iweb.tntech.edu/cventura/tapestrycrochet.htm Please give that one a try.

Thanks,
Carol
