Does anyone know how to make an I cord with corcheting? I know how to do it with knit. I want to make frog closures. I could just chain and then slip-stitch back...:w-cold

The "I" in I cord stands for Idiot because any idiot is supposed to be able to make it. Phrase was coined by designer that thought of it. (Zimmerman, perhaps?) I never mastered it as I didn't need it for any projects I was making.

With crochet, if I have time I make cording by ch and then sl st in each ch back up. Or leaving a very long tail (about a yard), ch as long as you want the cord to be plus a little extra. Drop working yarn, pick up long tail and sl st back towards the center of the cord until you reach the center OR have a six inch tail. Pick up working yarn and sl st back towards the six inch tail. When the two sides meet, clip working yarn leaving a six inch tail. Weave tails toward opposite ends. That puts your loose ends in the middle of the cord where they are less likely to come undone or show if they do. It also creates nice ends for your cord. :D
