I was lucky enough to test the Briar Rose pincushion pattern for Katchkan. This is one very easy pattern to follow and it is really cute when done. One thing I liked about it was being able to change the color of the rose to match anything which enhances the pattern.

I made one in the colors Katchkan used. The yellow flower with the light green leaves, then my DH said he wanted one for his computer room that was a red rose with dark green leaves. He calls it his Christmas rose.

This pattern only took a couple of hours, so it would be great for a bazaar or a favor for a party or shower.

Oh Mary Jo! Those are fabulous! Being partial to green and yellow, I have to admit that THAT is my favorite. But then again, I love the red...oh I can't be partial I love them both! Great job! Kathy really does wonderful work designing patterns.
