Folks,
I had a idea on making a preemie blanket in a spiral . But I don't know how to do a spiral and the only thing I can find on the internet calls for 3 colors. That is too much for me. Shoot I can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.LOL
I want one that takes 2 colors or can be used with a varigated yarn .
Can any of you help me?

Sounds very pretty! I hope someone has a pattern! I would love to see it too.

There's a fairly nice spiral pattern in a book called Annie's Favorite Afghans. You make up a two-colored square, and then sew a bunch together to form the afghan. The book is published by Annie's Attic. The pattern isn't for a preemie, but I'm sure you can easily adapt the size.

Good luck!

This should help you get started and this how-to uses one color!

There is another very simple way to work a two color spiral! It isn't the same thing, but it may help you.....look at this hat pattern and see how she has worked chain stitches over the posts of single crochets to form the swirl.......first you make your circular blanket and then you return to the center of the blanket and begin working the chains over the scs, working to the outside....it goes fast!

I think that this would make your blanket a bit stiffer but also a bit warmer!! I think they make really bright ,fun chemo caps!!! In addition the reverse side has a totally different (though nice) look

Thank you Debbie. I also make Chemo hats sometimes and this would be a fun way to use some of the partial skiens that are donated to me. I am going to try this on a blanket also.

Thanks missmaggie that looks great I think I will try this one for my SIL . Can't use it for the preemie blanket because of the holes . Little fingers can get caught in them.
