Hi,

I made a ripple round afghan for our son that we are expecting in March however my DH thinks it's too girly (rainbow colors). So I planned on making the same pattern but with Cubs colors (red, white, and blue). However my DH asked if I could make a blanket with the Cubs logo on it instead. I know it can be done because I just saw the Broncos afghan that someone made. I just have no clue how to do this. Is there a pattern out there? Is it hard to crochet logos? If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it! I only have time to crochet on the weekends so I need to start working on this!

Thanks!

Kristen

Hi Kristen -- If you go to the Clinic --> Crochet Help section of C'ville, there's a thread called "Tips for Crochet Graphs." It includes some beginner instructions, tips and links on how to create graphs of your own. Take a look there...

Wow, this looks hard! I just put a Chicago Cubs logo in the graph maker listed in the help file you directed me to and it gives me shades of pink and grey which are not cubs colors. It would be so hard to figure out what the pink and grey colors really should be. I think if I had a clearly marked graph I might be able to do this but I'm not great at changing yarn colors so that would be a lot of work to figure out as well.
Just when I think I've become pretty good at crocheting I learn that I am no where close to being good yet!
