I'm looking for a hat I can make my 2 year old nephew. I have seen a picture of a crocheted blue hat with a bill on it. It is probably a baby pattern. Anybody have any ideas where I might find this pattern or anyother little boy hats?

Dot has quite a few hat patterns. Here's one with a bill

Just adjust the size to fit your nephew. In her album is a picture of a toddler one albums.photo.epson.com/j/...p=68197925 (http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4197299&a=31156919&p=68197925)

THANKS :clap I had not thought about making that hat for him. I have the pattern printed out and on my list of hats to crochet, but did not think of it for a little boy.
So Dot, Do you have a small version of the Cross stitched hat, or can you give me ad idea how much smaller to start it? I'm with Chelle...I love your hat patterns.

Thanks,
Barbara

Thank you, Barbara! It just so happens that I've already experimented with this pattern and here's the result. Problem is, I only have the doll to try it on, so I don't know how well it works on anything that actually might move! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cutewink.gif" />

I used a H hook and 1 strand ww cotten and followed the pattern exactly as written. The finished hat measures 16". A larger hook will produce a larger hat.
