It's me again! I just found out about a possible craft selling event, and got a booth. I am making baby booties to go with my baby blankets, and would like to make some baby hats to. I don't have any patterns for them, and I only have till next Saturday. Any ideas?

well, it took me long enough to find it, but here's a link.

<a href="http://afghans4angelsmd.homestead.com/Hats.html" target="_new">basic baby hats</a>

This basic baby hat takes me about 30 minutes to make and it is so easy and if you add pompoms on the top they are irresistible <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cloud9.gif" />

Dot, I have tried the link you posted for Amber on 2 differnet computers. I always get the wrong page. Any ideas on what the problem is? Has any body else had problems getting that link to work?

Oh, shoot! I'm sorry you can't view the site. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/crying.gif" /> I don't know why the site won't open unless it's exceeded it's bandwidth <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/scratchhead.gif" /> (sounds like I know what I'm talking about, don't it... NOT)

I always try to copy and save a pattern I like because I'm afraid the site won't be there the next time I want to view it. It's happened to me more times than I care to admit. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/oops.gif" />

All may not be lost though, I've seen these patterns on other pages so I'll look for them again. They really are the easiest hats to make. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" />

I must be loosing it. I hope the site will be back up soon.

Make a granny square. That will be the back of the hat. Now attach yarn to one corner and single crochet around three sides of the square putting only one stitch in the corners. Turn and sc back. Continue for about two to three inches depending on how big your granny square is. Add chains to the two front edges for ties. Voila! a bonnet with no copyrights to worry about. If you're making it for a gift and have more time, a blanket made out of the same squares is always nice! :bigsmile

Amber try this link. It has lots of baby hat patterns. You probably do need to contact the owner of the site for permission to sell the hats.

sampler lady- you are smokin this mornin!! :::blush ::: Thanks! I tried out the pattern I suggested yesterday morning. Pic in my photos. I did find that about four or five rows in, I had to decrease one stitch where the "corner" would be in order to shape it properly. Otherwise, it worked like a charm! :bigsmile
