OK, we went our usual Saturday outing of going to all the garage sales. The first stop we made I found a bag of yarn that I grabbed for 50 cents!
http://img72.photobucket.com/albums/v218/shadydowns/CROCHET%20PROJECTS/42004_001.jpg
It's 8 balls of Bucilla anastasia 1 3/4 oz per ball (50 grams) the color is orange swirl and the picture is just a tad bit darker than what the actual color is.
The yarn is a light bouncle(sp?) orange/white 58% Acrylic, 35% Cotton, 7% Polyester- very pretty

My problem is I have no clue as to what to do with it.
Looking for suggestions as to what kind of pattern might work for it.

I think it would make a good scarf or even shawl - very pretty, bright colors! :)

Awesome deal!!!!

By itself I think it would make a really nice summer shawl or a tank top if there is enough.

Or get another yarn in an earth tone and hold 2 strands together for a autumn shawl.

You could mix it with a strand of pink and do a funky baby afghan. Know any Clemson or UT fans? A scarf and hat would work for them...

i suppose you could make someone a school color gift..... although, being an Aggie, i would never suggest you make any t.u. (ut) garb :box
i think mixing it with bright pink is a great idea and making a sweater.... ooooh.
hey, i found (on the net) a split neck, sleeveless sweater for the summer that would be great!!!..... let me see if i can find it in my saved. i'll be back;)

That yarn NEEDS to be a fun summer something.

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/scratchhead.gif" /> Maybe a tank top? or (better still) a summer wrap to go over a pink slip dress?

Good luck! (Great find! btw)

And please be sure to share what you make! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/knit.gif" />

How about a big openwork pareo (sp?) ? Its a wrap that you would wear over a bathing suit.

OMG Such good ideas how do I choose? LOL I have some bikini patterns too I have thought... but I am still one my diet so I don't want to do that until I lose all the weight I want.
I have Patrons tank top book about retro halter tops (don't have it in fromt of me and I can't think of the exact name) I may do one of those. Whichever I choose I will definatly show pics.
