http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/definitelydeb/just%20stuff/WIP.gif I've decided that I am going to report on my Works In Progress on Wednesdays each week. Snag the button, post in on your blog and join me... won't you?

This week I am working on:
1) scarf for myself using the luscious Italian yarn I bought before Christmas and black TLC Amore - nearly finished :fluffy
2) decorative pillow for my grandma - 1/6th finished (small hooks and tiny yarn... I keep putting this project down. :frog )
3) shawl - for my supervisor's birthday.. I better hurry and get it done. It's next week! :eek2
4) 63 Square Afghan - :ha I don't know if I will EVER finish this one! (I think I have 23 squares finished?)
5) Grey wool bag/purse - I am currently waiting for yarn to arrive... JoAnn's has gotten two shipments of yarn.. but never the yarn I need to finish! I am hoping :fc that the yarn ordered via the internet have dye lots are not too different from what I have. I really want to get this baby into the washing machine. FELT FELT FELT! :loco

Fun! Its technically Thursday, but its close enough :)

1) Basketweave scarf for myself out of Plymouth Indecieta Alpaca, yum. I'd really like to get this finished up by Sunday so its really my main focus. I absolutely love the stitch, but it is slow going.
2) I might possibly start my son's ripple afghan, but I'm looking through an afghan book and seeing if there is a different quickie pattern to try.

Eek its Friday..:lol

Gosh this week I've been trying to figure out what i'm gonna include in my Spring/Summer catalog, and which yarn I'm gonna use. Its been hard finding the yarn, cause I want to use cotton, but not sport weight. I think I've settled on Lily's /sugar and cream. I wish it was more like Lion Brand's Cotton Ease cause that's a blend, and will cut down on shrinkage...but they don't have the colors that I'm looking for..*sigh*

Also, I've been trying to convert another pattern that is knitted, hope I've learned from the last time enough to make fewer mistakes this time. I'm gonna get some yarn this weekend.

My friend is opening up a spa and she said she will carry my crocheted items, so I'm very excited about it. She said that she wants to carry my stuff and without cost!!! So yay! I've been in kinda a crochet-slump. I have several projects to fringe, and weave in ends, wash and mail them. When I'm done all of them, then I'll get started on new stuff!

Projects to finish:
1- ponchos for daughters, just simple granny stitch.
2- two chemo hats made from cara mia
3- flower stitch shawl, need to fringe and weave in ends...
4- fun fur hat and fingerless gloves
5 - berroco suede poncho

wish me luck gah! :lol :coffee

I have finished two ponchos and a hat. I finished my another sweater, but with very cool novelty yarn (gray with black, red, yellow and white flecks) and now working on a mini-boa scarf to go with it only adding some thin black chenille.
Also working on a thin chenille poncho.........well, we'll see......I am too bored......I always have to be crocheting something! :bow

Well it's not Wednesday :blush but as slow as I'm going this week it could still be.

I made a capelet and accidently tore it out at the wrong spot :oops and I've started it again a couple of times but keep frogging. I'm on the second row :fc Maybe I'll get it like I want soon.

I'm also making a wrap out of Wrapped in Style:)h But I started it in symphony red heart and it was way too long:eek so frogged it and that stuff is hard to frog :eek2 Now I'm back at it , it should go well now.

4) Two scraves I am making for gifts with eyelash yarn and regular yarn.

<span style="font-family:comic sans ms; color:purple;">I'm working on:

A secret project for someone I love. It should be finished in a day or two.

My 63 squares. I've got four finished and the fifth is almost completed. (This is going to take awhile!)

I want to start some kitchen goodies from a booklet Hammie leant to me.

I really want to start a crocheted edging for the new curtains I just made for my bedroom. I've been looking at patterns and think I'll do that in the evenings.</span>

My WIPs are:

1) My college classes - I look at my crochet and want to cry because I've had to dedicate so much time to my studies. I know it's worth it, but I ache to be able to pick my work up again.

2) The double wedding rings afghan for SIL's wedding gift - I'm only about 1/12 of the way through it, as I haven't really worked on it since we got home from the bridal shower.

3) I have two pairs of knitting needles hanging around here somewhere with "I don't know what the heck they are, I'm just practicing and learning" projects on them. I've mastered the art of casting on stitches:danc

I want to get a start on the 63 Squares CAL - but I haven't even started on a single one, so I guess it doesn't count.

I don't know how many WIPs I have but I got tired of them cluttering up my den so I gathered them up and put them in a large plastic bag in my bedroom.
Most of them are almost finished lapgahns or baby afghans. They are unfinished 'cause I did not like the way they were turning out. I'll go back and finish them after I finish my current list of "wants" by my family. :)

Then I will have several WIPs finished quickly. :)

3. Roberts "SURPRISE" (still)

I finished a scraf for my mother

I finished my swap partners poncho/shawl and shipped it

I am 80% done the "suede" shawl for my SIL

Since last week I have finished the two ponchos I was working on, and the scarf(s) for my sons' teachers. (He has two teachers). This week I am still working on the :

-- Rectangle grannyghan for FIL (Is about three feet long so far?)
-- Poncho for me got put on back burner til I get yarn I haven't even ordered yet, didn't have colors I need at LYS (JoAnns'):)
--Started a new scarf for oldest son two days ago.
--Am going to "try" to work on plastic bag crochet tote, for my mom to collect shells in Florida. It's been almost half way done since last summer, it kills my wrists/hands to crochet with that stuff, though... And I hate cutting out all the plastic bags, but my mom REALLY wants it, so....:U
--Want to start a "star" baby afghan for friend I just found out is pregnant, but isn't officially a WIP, I guess...

That's all for me. :yawn Tina

I'm still working on my ds3's serape:
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-11/898322/almostfinishedserapesmfoto.jpg

I finished the dishcloth I was working on, which I started last week sometime. (photo on my blog) I also did a towel topper. Both of these are part of my MIL's birthday gift. I'm waiting for more yarn to do more of her gift.

Besides working on the serape, I have my own poncho to do, and an afghan for our home (that's always a "background project"), and gifts for my parents, and the Sunday school teacher. I've made one snowflake for the SS teachers, have about 12 more to do. I'd start some things for one or two of my older children but I'm still waiting for my yarn to come in.

So, what I'm likely to do this week is finish ds3's serape, work on my, and do a couple of snowflakes (maybe). And if my yarn comes in, I'd like to start the gifts for two of my older children, and continue working on MIL's.

I still haven't gotten any work done on that wedding rings afghan. I got wrapped up in a couple of smaller projects - one for Christine, one for a secret friend, and one, kind of out of necessity, for me. I HAD to have something to keep my hair out of my face, so I made a bandana. It's very comfortable to wear, and very lightweight, in spite of being made with worsted weight yarn!

Well, I started and finished my friends scarf done with a very yummy Tahki Bunny Print yarn in Tropical Storm. I pulled out a wrap I was making and salvaged the yarn to make something else...which leaves me...GASP...no current WIPs! So, instead I guess I'll write about my plans. I got a bunch of Caron Sayelle yarn in cream on clearance for $1 a skein this week! I'm going to use it for my first sweater, a button up Aran one from Crocheted Aran Sweaters (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1564774848/104-8013218-9858312?v=glance). I have my son's ripple afghan to start, and another project that shall remain nameless to protect its secrecy ;) First I need to do a few swatches, I'm not starting a sweater without getting the gauge right for once, LOL!

Hi everyone!

I am currently working on my first mile-a-minute afghan for my neice's birthday in March. It's more like mile-an-hour, or sometimes mile-a-day! I am determined to get it done in time, though. I also make a couple pair of preemie baby booties every week, and of course the 63 squares afghan is ever-present, mocking me.

This is my busiest year for crocheting ever! I'm planning to make 6 more afghans, plus a couple of baby blankets, snowflake ornaments for our christmas tree, hats for next winter, slippers for the husband. I hope I can get it all done!

I know it's Friday, but here are the projects I have going on:

Finishing up a gift for my secret pal (almost done)

I am starting my very first poncho. I have tons of this thread that I originally planned on using for another project, but I ended up hating the yarn so I used another yarn for the project. Now I very much love this yarn again and decided to make a poncho out of it.

I am making a little mushroom house for my girls Bushwillie's.

I am making some bookmarks for my girls teachers.

Those are all my crochet projects, but I have about 2-3 sewing projects going on as well.

2 Ponchos (well 3, but the third one doesn't come out right, I keep 'froggin' it :ohdear ) it's this (http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art24740.asp) pattern, just in case you experts out there understand it better :blush

Surprisingly, I don't have that many WIPs.

Working on an afghan for two friends who are getting married this summer. Going pretty well.

Halfheartedly working on randomly colored cotton squares to make a blanket with.

Have a bunch of ends to weave in on some squares I made for an exchange. Made a few too many, so I've not worried about finishing the ones that aren't going anywhere.

63 Squares.... yeah. I may have officially abandoned this.

And then I have a million projects that I've purchased yarn for and just haven't started yet.

1. Another dishcloth for my Easter package shipments to Aunt & Grandmas.

3. Putting a back on my niece's ladybug.

I still haven't started my batwing shawl. :( Maybe this weekend.

current WIPs that i'm interested in:

jillian and caroline ponchos (one each) from chelle's pattern - i made one too big.... have to frog it :grumpy

grayson's baby blanket - about 80% done (must be done 2/24 for shower)
chase's baby blanket - hmmm... maybe 60ish% done (must be done 2/24 for shower)

- for my REAL list of WIPs, go here (http://www.ewedevil.com/WIPs.htm) (it's shameful!)
... and yes, i know the page is all jacked up. i can't figure out what i am doing wrong :shrug

I'm working on a shawl for myself - have frogged it so many times, it or I may start catching bugs with our tongue in a while. Hopefully it's really going now.

Have a granny square poncho for myself I *could* work on and do occasionally like when the littlies are in the bath. Have an afghan I could work on, but don't.

If I finish my shawl this week then I think I will start my new spring poncho with the gorgeous eyelash yarn I got. I'm scared I'll look like a dork in it since it will be a bit shiny and not retiring (I'm very large).

I need to do some more snowflakes too.

If my yarn from CraftsEtc would come I could work on some more gifts for my MIL's birthday. I'm hoping to do another towel-topper and another dishcloth for her and I'm waiting for the orange cotton yarn. Also I could start my dd's afghan.

I guess the main thing right now is my shawl though, and then my poncho. I have a hankering to do some of Chelle's lacy ponchos for my dd's though. I dunno - stick to already-scheduled projects :goodbad start new unplanned-for projects:? :?

Uh oh. I haven't done much since last week....

1. Am working on Inspired Lace Scarf. Have all 10 squares done, need to sew together and do edging.

2. Still working on rectangle grannyghan for FIL. Slow going...

3. Um.... I have a bunch of stuff I hate and do not want to finish laying around. Maybe I'll do something small. I want to do a purse, I bought some handles, but cannot find a pattern I like...

4. And I want to start a shawl, but can't afford any more yarn right now, so I will have to go dig some out of storage. I have about six or seven skeins of white baby yarn I could use for it...(Too cold out today, though....) Either the butterfly shawl or serafina?...

5. I forgot, I bought the red and blue yarn to start (just started) the "Spidey" Pillowghan for my nephew. Am using the "Spiderweb Square". Is supposed to be 8", but I might make it bigger. (Says to use a "G" hook, but I am using an "I" hook.) So much for something small... Well squares are small, it's just sewing them all together...:)
That's about all....:yawn Tina

HI,

Ok this is my first WIP post :))

This place really inspires me to stay busy.

1. I have the granny square pillowgahn I am working on its about 25% done. Its a scrapy and I have to dig out all my odds and ends of yarn.

2. I have a poncho I am working on thats rust and a RHSS called heartland. I couldn't find a pattern that I liked so I made my own. Hopeing to get it done over the weekend.

3.Have a Lapgahm i am doing for my MIL she has been placed in rehab and needs one. I have been looking for a pattern for several weeks. I think I am gonna do a ripple since I have really enjoyed looking at everyones ripples in the ripple along.

4. I had another afghan i was doing as a pillowghan but after making 3 squares for it last night i think its gonna simply be a regular afghan now. Its out of some RHSS ombre that is burgandy green and cream and I added navy blue as a solid. Its for my livingroom.

5. I am making a poncho from some scraps for My Grandsons 3 foot Shrek doll. I had made him a poncho over the weekend but now he says sherk needs one two LOL . (he's 2 1/2 )

thats it for me

My Disney Princess afghan is not from a book. I made it up. I basically used a regular afghan pattern and the charts for the Princesses are from a counted cross stitch book.

I got the counted cross stitch book at Michaels. It's a Leisure Arts book Disney Home, Princess Collection.

My one granddaughter likes the Disney Princesses and since there is no pattern, I had to make one up.

Well, my WIPs are just about the same as they were last week.

I have some ends to weave in on some extra squares I made for an exchange. Since I don't have all the other squares that are being sent to me, I'm not concerned about getting this done.

Finished a bunch of rows on the afghan I'm making for my friends as a wedding gift. The pattern calls for 53 repetitions of the two row pattern. I'm at 30. So that's progress.

I've got some random cotton squares that I'm making for a hodge podge blanket.

I'm considering starting squares for a blanket I'm making for my bed - for those of you with the 200 Crochet Squares book, it's the lily pad blanket pattern from the front. I'm travelling in 2 weeks, will need something to take on the long plane ride. And squares are easy for that. So it'll either be squares for this or my cotton squares.

I've also got a scrap granny square stitch afghan in red/white/blue on hold. Out of scraps in the proper colors. So that doesn't count as a WIP. :)

I'm proud of my lack of WIPs. But my stash is calling to me again.

... I finally broke down and bought the 63 crochet squares book.. and I finished 2 squares in that... I absolutely fell in love with one of the squares and think I will plan a whole afghan in that. The current one is for the park ranger where dh is chaplain in the summer.

I have strted working on a cotton beach bag... the one on the net calls for mutli colors but I am doing just three.. natural, a light blue and a bold yellow... it looks great so far!

I finished the faux fur trim on my aunts hat...

worked about 10 rows on my personal afghan
hhhmmm... I think that's it... but for my crazy schedule... that was alot!

I haven't really started anything new since I finished the block afghan. I really had to focus to get that one finished.

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" /> I started a shell afghan with scraps for a friend of mine whose son is due in May, but I haven't gotten very far!

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" /> I have a blue baby sweater that is sooo close to being done. The second sleeve is 60% done, I just have to attach it and sew on the buttons. Why I don't just sit down and finish it, I don't know. I think I'm going to give it to another friend of mine, if it's not too small for her adorably chubby baby.

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" /> I need to start on something else, don't I? Maybe I should branch out from the flood of baby items I've been doing lately. A doily maybe?

This is fun - also embarassing because I start too many projects instead of finishing one and starting another! From reading the thread, looks like I'm not alone!

- shawl made out of Foxfire organic cotton chenille yarn in oatmeal for my sister's birthday - Feb 28, I need to get crackin!
- black Omega sinfonia scarf - simple sc, hdc, dc pattern.
- Lily Chen shawl that I am making for my anniversary trip with my hubby. I am making it with Gems merino wool, off-white. It will be a sexy shawl for the lovely dinners I know he will take me on
- baby blanket - just sewing together granny squares. It's taking forever, I hate sewing together squares, don't think I will do this again.
- poncho - my own pattern of 2 rectangles. Made with Wendy Aran yarn, it is a blue speckled yarn. I love wendy yarn because I can make an entire project with one huge ball!
- little necklace I found on crochetme.com I'm making with some leftover sock yarn.
- and lastly an afgan for my son. I typically like shorter projects, so afgans sort of bore me. I'm doing this a couple of rows a week at a time so this will be on my WIP list for a while!

This was fun. To see what things I've done recently - checkout my blog - craftygirlz.blogspot.com/ (http://craftygirlz.blogspot.com/)

Well, as usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short, lol! I totally forgot about this, had been planning on posting here the next Wednesday that rolled around - and then I missed it! Oh well.

I am currently actively working on two projects:

The little girl's winter set, a hat scarf and mitten set, from a pattern in the January issue of Crochet! magazine. I had completed one whole mitten but I made several errors on it (it was my first mitten ever) so I've decided to scrap it and redo. I am almost done with the second mitten, will begin working on the third (the new second) very soon. I plan to get a pic of it in it's current state today, will post it to my blog tonight. There's a pic of it taken earlier in the week posted there already.

My other project, which I plan to work on today in my limited "free" time at work, is the LB homespun prayer shawl made from the color Edwardian, it's currently at the top of my blog. I will also be posting an updated photo of it tonight.

I have three other projects that are wips but I haven't worked on them in over a week (or longer :rolleyes2 ) so I will save them for next Wednesday (and hopefully won't forget what day it is again!), maybe by then, I'll have actually done something with them... :rolleyes

This is my first time to post on WIP Wednesday. I've got....

In progress
afghan--almost 1/2 finished
Homespun cloche--thinking about junking it. Homespun is hard for me to work with, but I LOVE the way it looks and feels.
Started a "Super simple trellis stitch" poncho for myself last night, using Caron Simply Soft, which felt nice and soft (plus it's cheap), but upon rolling it into a ball I discovered that it's frayed in numerous places. Grr.
Still need to put the button on my small felted pouch.

Finished a book thong for a co-worker last night, yay!

To-Do
small felted pouch for my mom to carry her phone, keys, etc. on her daily walk
Felted camera case for a friend
Felted purse for a co-worker's daughter
Rectangular felted bag (for ME)
Rolled brim hat from Lion website
more book thongs
Doggie afghan for Preston (see him on my blog (http://www.pajamamonologues.com/blog/))
Felted slippers for Hubster (these may wait until fall since it's already getting warm here)

I think that's all for now....

1. radKIDS afghan for the auction - my friend made the center panel with a graph and I'm going to do the edging.

2. a peach ripple afghan for my mom for mothers day

3. a blue and tan afghan for my boyfriends mom for mothers day

4. stuff for my secret pal

5. secret project

I have so much stuff in mind though it's killing me!!!!! I just got two of the cutest cross stitch designs and those will take a while. I also have a rainbow baby afghan I want to do that i got the kit for. I would like to make a horse head filet crochet for my aunt. I have several piles of yarn earmarked for afghans for friends and neighbors. In between I like to mix it up and do some thread projects, spur of the moment.

Geesh, can you say overwhelmed!!!

Still working on the little girl's winter set for my 9 yo grandchild, just started on the second mitten yesterday. I might have been much further along, but spent all my time working on the Edwardian Shawl over the weekend and through Monday, and now it's off the wip list. I will continue to plug away at this winter set, even though it's going to be too late for her to wear it this season, will save it for a birthday present for her in September.

Homespun ripple ghan for bf - I plan to start making quick progress on this one starting this weekend now that I joined the ripple-along.

Mesh market bag using Lily Sugar & Cream cotton yarn, 80% done, just need to make the final push and finish this.

Fun fur-trimmed homespun cape, for a friend as payment for a favor given. About 20% into the project, not counting all the frogging. May be posting in the help section about this one. Since it's a suprise, I can't post about it on my blog.

My to-do list is out of control, but here's a few items I have planned for which all materials are on hand, the only thing lacking so far is the time to do them:

Blue and yellow toddler pullover sweater for a dear friend's son, who is now 15 months old, will make it for the 2 yo size, for fall wardrobe.

Tote bag made with homespun and chenille t&q, from a pattern out of Crochet! magazine.

socks, using the simple stripes yarn I recently got from Knitpicks. Since it will be my first effort, may start with an easy-looking pattern, such as the toe-up one I've seen mentioned several times here.

2 different shawl patterns, also using yarn from Knitpicks (Alpaca Cloud and Shimmer, both laceweight)

Sweater hat and scarf set using Caron's Jewelbox, also for lucky little Zoie, though I will have to try and modify the pattern a bit if she hits a growth spurt between now and fall. This was also from a pattern out of Crochet!

These are just the ones I can recall off the top of my head, but trust me - there's lots more where they came from! I've certainly got more enthusiasm than good sense here - either this stuff will take me a couple of years to do, or I'm going to learn to be a much faster crocheter than I ever thought possible. But I will eventually get them all done, I'm stubborn that way.

Well, went over the deadline while writing this, oh well! Would have had it done sooner, but I couldn't seem to help taking catnaps over my keyboard. I really have to try and get more sleep tonight, at least of the kind where my head is actually resting on a pillow instead of my chest!

In progress

Homespun cloche--pretty sure I'm going to junk it until I feel comfortable enough to try Homespun again
did a row or two of the "Super simple trellis stitch" poncho last night, using Caron Simply Soft, but it's looking weird, so I might start over (no biggie since I just started)
Rolled brim hat from Lion website--ended up frogging it again last night, starting again tonight.
small felted pouch for my mom to carry her phone, keys, etc. on her daily walk; I'm going to have to frog this one too :(
camera pouch for my friend--just need to felt it, probably will wait until I felt my mom's too since they're the same color

To-Do
Felted purse for a co-worker's daughter--just got the yarn from KnitPicks :)
Rectangular felted bag (for ME)
more book thongs
Doggie afghan for Preston (see him on my blog)

Hmm, my WIP list is much shorter than ya'lls:

my first dog sweater is mostly done, but the neck and belly band still need to be made

a scarf for my niece (shhh--a Christmas present) made out of fun fur is 1/3 done

and I've bid on some wool on ebay for my first fulled bag (couldn't find any 100% wool here in town that I liked, so started surfing the web instead)

Mine this week: (Decided to not be lazy, and I will write them all out here, too):) :

-- An Evening Shawl (still)
-- A Rectangle Grannyghan (still)
-- Motif purse for my mom is still sitting there, need to crochet tog, then do handles...
-- But!... The "Spidey" Pillowghan is just about done! YEEEEE HAW! :P I have all the squares done, and sewn together, I am trying to sew the "Pillow" part on, sewed it on the front, that was wrong, sewed it on a different way, now I think I have it figured out (since I went and looked... duh..) I want to wait to ship it, though, until I can take a picture, and I'm supposed to be getting a digital camera soon, so....

That's about it.

1. Lion Suede Shawl I started yesterday and is almost finished.
2. Guardian Angel afghan I started a few months back that I put aside to work on other things
3. Sylvia Cosh sweater...put aside because the sleeves were giving me trouble

I'm one of those freakish people who can't stand something being left undone....I HAVE to finish a project or I lose interest in it but for some reason the afghan & sweater keep calling me to finish instead of frogging them. :blush

2. The knitted poncho for my step-sister.

3. The crocheted monkey (I wonder where I got my name) for my sort of step-daughter.

4. I forgot a about the baby sweater that I have to finish off for a co-worker that is due at the beginning of May

The skirt has been frogged. The list of stuff to make is growing. Knitted Ear flap hat for a co-worker. Sweater for another co-worker. A poncho for my soon to be ex-manager.

I just frogged a dress for my daughter because I really disliked the pattern after a bunch of rows. I don't know what to do with the yarn. It's Caron baby fingering and I just have partial skeins of 6 colors and some white.

I'm still working on a blanket for our new baby. It's a pattern from a Winnie the Pooh book, although it doesn't have anything to do with Winnie the Pooh. It's pretty, though.

Last night I started the "no hole" baby ghan. I had 5 rows done when I hit a nasty spot in the yarn. I stopped and checked and that's when I noticed that I'd grabbed one of my "damaged" skeins. :oops I thought I'd gotten rid of all of them. :bang So I snipped the yarn and tossed it in a bag of "give away" stuff. Tonight I'll restart it with different yarn.

I'm also working on my second sample for a design I've got. I'm kinda bored as I just finished the first sample ... so it'll take me a bit to get this done. ;) It's probably be a forever wip. Although I'd like to have it done before I move later this year. :lol

:mug 63 Squares: Got one square done, no border, probably be a slow one.

:mug Lilac baby afghan for a friend who's pregnant-she's not showing yet so no hurry on that one yet, it's about a third done.

:mug Blooming poncho: I'm using lt pink and dark pink baby yarn instead of thread and an F hook-got 4 of the flowers done and 3 partially done. It's for the sister of the pregnant friend, both are daughters of our pastor.

:mug A Fleuri bag for myself-have both sides done, no lining yet so it's not put together, its sides are varigated purple/blue/green/white and I did the rose in orchid. Not sure how I'll do the handles yet.

:mug Pineapple Pillowghan-have 2 squares done and joined together.

:mug A wrap done in orchid and an eyelet pattern, just getting started, think I'm keeping this one.

:mug Well, the Star afghan is no longer on my to-do list, I started one last night with some yarn I'm not using for anything else and I'm on round 13, not sure how big I'm going to make it.

Hmm...well...This is my first WIP Wednesday posting:
1. Polka dot baby afghan, for my cousin's pregnant daughter -- I'm half done with the last strip. Then I have to sew the strips together and crochet a border around it.

2. Wedding garter for my daughter. Yikes. I wonder why I started this; it's all lace and much more difficult than it looks in the picture.

3. Looking at shawl patterns. I'm actually going to make myself something this year!

Alright here goes.

Cell Phone Cozy (my first pattern of my own!) - about 90% done...still working out some kinks in the way the flap looks

Chelle's Sweater jacket for my 3 yr old....almost done...one sleeve and trimmimg to go!

Hat to go with it.. only a few rounds into it

Square for HMB...barely on the hook!

Wrist purse for my neice.....not very far into it

Starting within a day or 2: 2 shawls for my mom's coworker
a poncho and purse for someone's god daughter

One of these days I will get to a poncho for myself...i have the yarn...and the pattern...... *sigh*

That's terrible....lol. Oh well, keeps me busy and out of trouble....uh, for the most part anyway :devil

Then my major project I am just very impatient to get to, is dying up about 3/4 pound of roving so I can spin some yarn! 1/2 pound of NZ Corridale and 1/4 of Merino I think it is. My cold is keeping me from it, but hopefully by the weekend I can get started.

Med. Coral Afghan for Project Linus (from yarn a friend gave me)

Off-White Scarf to test pattern I want to use for swap partner (I liked it)

4 Dishcloths & a Daisy Dish scrubber

Scrunchie (ok, it's a small one, but it counts):D

25 beaded stitch markers

WIP:

Stars & Stripes blanket for Blankey Brigade.
Afghan for wedding present (only need to finish border on one side):cheer

Huge granny square for Project Linus from scrap balls my friend gave me (this one will be on this list for awhile. I need more same type yarn. Looks and feels like a lightweight 3 ply wool? maybe)

More stitch markers (from some glass beads I had left from beaded fringe on bags) I can't seem to stop making these things!

Planned projects - Very Near Future:

Many more Dishcloths & scrubber flowers (specially since I picked up new colors @ Michaels yesterday)

Wrist bag for my daughter, to match a new outfit she has (the bag is a secret)

Mile a minute afghan for Project Linus (yarn from my friend again)

I think that is it for now. I won't even begin to list what I want to do sometime:lol :lol

1. That baby sweater still has been sitting here for weeks, i must finish sewing it soon. (okay it's a week later and I must finish before Friday, she's leaving work early). (I finished it today Wen. April 6, 2005)

2. The crocheted monkey still looks exactly the same. (Still no changes).

3. The knitted poncho hasn't had any work done on it either.

4. I did start the knitted hat for the other co-worker (Now I just have to finish the ear flaps and do the ties).

I got some yarn from my boyfriends ex. It's burgandy and I can't wait to come up with a project with it.

Is that it? Well I have a couple WIM I need to start, too. But that's all I'm working on right now...

I am only working on (with slow progress) the white blanket for our baby.

I wish to be working on my full skirt halter top for my toddler, but I have to get some yarn. I read some posts about American Wal-Marts having good sales this week, so I'll head over to mine and see if, by chance, they are having a sale as well.

Almost done with the socks, working on the toe and heel today.

I've done some more on the baby blanket, will be working on that more.

I have 2 rows done and attached on my pineapple pillowghan, will also make that a priority.

I seem to have misplaced my first block in my 63 squares, will have to hunt it down. At least it's in a plastic bag so it can't get dirty or anything. That one's on the back burner till I get the pillowghan and babyghan done.

Everything else is also on the back burner, my priorities are the pillowghan and babyghan right now.

I'm only really working on one thing right now, though there are a few unfinished things lurking in the background (rectangle-kitty hat, fingerless gloves/mittens, cotton chenille socks...) - the LB Pound of Love hooded baby blanket. Considering all my time has been taken up with getting organised for my wedding (11 days to go!), the baby blanket hasn't gotten very far, despite the fact that the pattern works up pretty quickly.

Queued up are two rompers (I've got 3 friends who are pregnant & due May-June) that I've already bought the yarn for, but (again, considering my limited time) I wanted to get the blanket part of the LB PoL blanket done before I started anything more! Of course I also wanted to get that much done before I went on my honeymoon, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen either! :D

Welp, that's my Wednesday update. Laters!

I'm about halfway on the babyghan and I have the first 2 rows of squares and the pocket done on the pillowghan so I have 4 more rows of squares to do on that. It was much easier I think to go ahead and put the pillow pocket on before the ghan is finished.

I still haven't done anything on the 63 squares, think I'll pick that up after the baby stuff and pillowghan.

I'm tempted to leave the Star afghan the way it is and give it to my friend also, we'll see.

I'm STILL working on the white baby blanket! I don't know if I'll ever be finished with this one.

I want to make my husband's grandmother an afghan because she's such a nice lady. I found a pattern last night and I want to buy the yarn today.

I purchased some chenille cotton online (thanks ThreeOliveMartini!) and I hope it comes this week so I can make some washcloths.

On the upside, I did finish MommaChelle's halter for my 2 1/2 year old and I cleaned out my WIP basket. It had leftover skeins from the last three projects, and now I have room for new projects. :) However, I should probably finish the baby blanket first!

I'm about halfway through with the blanket for my husband's dear grandmother. Even though I've had frustrations with it, it's actually an easy pattern that works up pretty quickly.

I haven't picked up my white baby blanket in a week.

I want to make more slippers for my mother to send in her mother's day package later this week.

Oh yeah! My first Wednesday WIP post. I just finished an angel afghan for a friend. I purchased the pattern from e-patterns central. I took a picture of it a couple of days ago before I finished it. Here's a link as it's too large to post right now:
http://www.busybeescrochet.com/images/crochet/angel1.jpg

It's made from Caron Simply Soft worsted weight in white and I used an H hook. I haven't measured it yet, either. It's very nice. The name of the pattern is called "Heavenly Hearts" by Sue Childress.

This past weekend I whipped up a few bookmarks and keychains. I don't have pictures of the keychains, but here's links to pictures of my bookmarks. They are my design made with size 10 thread and glass and/or plastic beads.

http://www.busybeescrochet.com/photogallery/bookmarks2.jpg

http://www.busybeescrochet.com/photogallery/bookmarkpink.jpg
http://www.busybeescrochet.com/photogallery/bookmarkblack.jpg
http://www.busybeescrochet.com/photogallery/bookmarkblue.jpg

I'm thinking of either making the flower poncho pattern by Nancy Brown that the CGOA just sent me for signing up. I'm thinking of making that with the Caron yarn that's left over from the blanket. I also have some Simply Soft variegated blue that would look nice with the white.

I am also wanting to make a "Pineapple Eyelet Lace Doily" by Sandra Jean Smith. It hase 6-triple pineapple cups that you can place votive candles in. I found the pattern in an Old-Time Crochet magazine - winter, 1999.

Whew! I never knew I could just ramble on! I'm so happy I found this forum. :c9

Edited to add links to my angel afghan.

I am now working up a Pineapple Eyelet Lace Doily designed by Sandra Jean Smith. I found the pattern in an Old-Time Crochet magazine dated Winter 1999.

I'm using white size 10 thread and a 7 hook.

I just finished round 27 of 30. This doily has 6 cups, made with 3 pineapples each, in which one may place votive candle holders. After round 30, I have to work on the pineapple cups. There are 5 rows for each pineapple and 18 pineapples total.

I am not sure who is getting this doily. A friend at church saw the picture of the pattern and asked me how much I would charge for it. I told her I wasn't sure yet. She told me to let her know. She has purchased a doily from me in the past for her daughter, so there's a good chance she wants it, but my mom would like it, too, and it would be great for a mother's day gift. I may have to work up a second one! :yay

1. The infamous crocheted monkey for my step-daughter. Seriously, do you guys think I should frog this project (Input please.)
2. The knitted poncho for a christmas present. Still no more yarn for that project, so no progress either, once I finish one project I'll buy more yarn for this one first.
3. The Diamond and Lace poncho. I have to buy more yarn for that one.
4. The Sweet Feburary Shawl. You guessed it, I need more yarn.
5. The crochet tote bag that I am designing. Nothing new on this one either, other projects have a higher priority then this one. My goal is to finish it before I go on vacation this summer.
6. The cabled knitted sweater for my friend at work. One sleve almost done.
7. Still working on the poncho for my friend at work. I lost my needle today though so I won't be working on it until late next week.
8. The Butterfly Shawl at crochetville.org. I'm making this one with black worseted weight yarn for my GrandmotherI do have one FO for this week though, I made a crochet hook case for myself.

Ok I'm jumping in here. I know it's Thursday but sometimes I'm slow :lol

I have been working on a victorian baby cape forever now. I got a whopping 15 rows done this week. I could usually finish this thing in a couple of days but....

my oldest daughter is getting married in 17 days. We ( I ) had a total of 2 months to put together a wedding with 50 guests :eek It's coming along nicely.
I made the bouquets, boutoneers, coursages & veil. The grooms parents are handling the food, thank goodness :clap

Good morning. Checking in with my WIPs.

I am working up some swiffer pads. I made one that was a tad small. It fits but I have to stretch it big time to fit. It also works great. It works the same as their pads.

I have a bag in progress but don't know if I will keep it or not. We have lots of bags around here. We'll see. I was going to make a plain bag - rectangular - with a long strap to cross over the body. It was going to be for all the toys all my kids bring along everywhere we go. We'll see.

I am also working on an Arrowhead Afghan with Popcorn Stitches. I found it in a Better Homes and Gardens "White Crochet" book. I am using an H hook and baby blue Caron Simply Soft. It's going to be for my kids to all cuddle under when they're watching tv or just wanting to snuggle on the couch. I am going to make it large enough for all 6 kids to fit under. :eek

1. Circular Skipping Stones Afghan (2/3 done)
2. Bamboo Purse (Just need to line it)
3. 63 Squares Afghan (5 done)

I think that is it for now. I have loads of things runnning thorugh my mind, so I am sure this list will just grow. Happy WIP Wednesday!

I have a whole pile of UFOs, but the only one I'm actually working on right now is "the shawl of doom" which has been frogged more times than I want to think about it. Almost half way through and still unhappy with the shape, but it will have to do.

Well, I missed last week for some reason...:think

That is how scatterbrained I have been.
My list this week is suprisingly short.

A jacket in the Tunisian stitch....I have a feeling this will be on my list for quite a while. I am slow going at getting used to holding this long hook and having to figure out how to hold it as my piece keeps getting bigger. I didn't know what I was getting into when I started this.....but I so want this jacket. I swear I probably won't finish it until September when it gets cool again (it is made with LB Suede), but hey, at least I am honest...lol :devil

A poncho/hat/mary jane slipper set for Megan. I'm assuming these won't take long as they are little (3/6 months) I only started last night but didn't get far...the kiddies were being a handful and a half.

I have a gazillion WIM's. And I just got some pattern books in the mail....2 from Patons, for summer tops, and this awesome triangle flower motif shawl. And Schachenmayr's Inspiration No 55.........
and so there grows the WIM list. The weather today calls for a thunderstorm and 75 degrees, and tomorrow drops down to 60 degrees (gotta love that Michigan weather...NOT) so there are 2 good crochet days (but...aren't they all?!)
Have a great day all!

I've finished the babyghan and gifts. I'll have to give them to Denise's mother to make sure she gets them at the shower this Saturday as we will be out of town all day that day.

Need 7 more squares on the pineapple pillowghan to finish, he'll have a late birthday present since this week and next will probably be hectic. He said he understands.

Made and finished a pineapple shawl from a frogged sweater and will give that to Mom on Saturday when they get to Aunt Dot's, started me one in Homespun Metropolis. You can't see the pattern as well with the tweedy look but it's going to be very soft and very snuggly. Almost finished with it.

I will get (back) to the 63 squares as soon as I finish the pillowghan.

I will also get to the UFO arrowhead MAM afghan I said I was going to finish.

That's enough for now.

I HAVE NO WIPs!!!!!!!

I ended up frogging the white baby blanket I've been "working" on for more than a month and I made a baby sweater out of some of the yarn and the rest is getting put away for now. Last night I finished it and the matching bonnet, so aside from buying a ribbon, I'm finished!

WIM are another story.
1. Socks for my mother
2. Halter for my sister-in-law. (I have to wait for the pattern to get in)
3. Another of MommaChelle's halters for my little one. (I'm waiting on yarn)

Here are mine...

Ripple shawl done in Microspun, a little over halfway done
Openwork asymmetrical poncho, more than halfway done...I don't know if I even like this one...could be why I haven't touched it in a while
Afghan, almost halfway done....it's been in its basket, untouched, for a few weeks now. It's hard to get motivated to work on when progress is so slow, and I know I won't get any use out of it for several months.
And finally, my second knitting project, a long vest, just a few rows done.
Lots and lots of WIMs, though...

Wow, my first WIP Wednesday....

Let's see, I'm working on:
- a couple of striped pencil bags in LB Microspun
- two squares for a comfortghan
- a ripple lapghan in LB Woolease (have to finish this one up soon, it's a graduation present...)
- a wool afghan for a cousin who is getting married soon

That's about it; I'm too busy to take on anything else right now! :hook

OK

Campus Colors afghan in peach, just like Donna made in Rose (http://www.yarntomato.com/gallery/afghans ) a little over 1/2 done, although it isn't seeming to come out the right size, it's going to be a "throw" not an afghan.

A poncho for dd, from some RH that is so NOT soft, that I have trouble picking it up to work on it.

A sweater for me from RH Misty in gray, that would be real cozy if I can finish it, just have to sew the seams and do a little finishing, but I don't know if I like it well enough to finish it . . .

Not having a good crochet "season" just now . . .:(

- a graph afghan using tunesian crochet for the first time for a friends bday that was last month, about 1/3 done....really should get off the computer and work on that some more!!
- and one that's just Bernat soft boucle all in dc for a friend just because she asked, 1/4 done
- 2 wrist bags for my neices, first is 3/4 done
- my first doily, about half done

I think that's everything:think

I only need 5 more squares to finish the pineapple pillowghan then I'll get to work on a rose afghan that a lady in church ordered plus I'll get to the 63 squares and arrowhead.

I finished another pair of socks over the weekend, they're done in Bernat baby sport in lilac. I have a knit pair started and another crochet pair started for small projects in between the big projects. This pair is being done in Red Heart Super Saver in gold and a varigated that's called grapevine, I think, I can't find it anywhere on C&C website so they may not be making it anymore. Anyway, the body of the sock is gold and the heel, toe and cuff is the varigated.

My only WIP is a ruffly sunhat from a pattern I found at another forum. It's turned out a little too small for my almost three year old, so it'll be for the new baby and I want to make a matching one for my older daughter.

I also have to make a birthday present for my sister in law. Her birthday is this weekend, but I won't have it finished because I'm still waiting for a yarn shipment.

Ah...WIP Wednesday again.

Well, on my hook or waiting to be finished:

Mary Jane Slippers...2nd of the pair for my 3 yr old (I actually made the other half of the pair and somehow skipped a few rows so it was too small:irk ) Not sure how I didn't notice but I was so disgusted I put it down for a day.
And a pair for me

The Tunisian Jacket....gonna be a regular on my list for a while

A shrug..

And something I need to do right now, a square for a comfortghan...way overdue (feeling guilty)

And I am going to weave the ends on my 2nd summer scarf and send them out (ugh I have so much to send out)

OK...so I've cleaned out my craft room and can say with certainty that I have the following WIPs:
1-Di's Hooded Scarf pattern (almost done, don't know why I didn't finish it, I started it a couple of years ago! I found it today while straightening my stash)
2-mohair shawls (one in pale blue & one in camel)
1-Guardian Angel Afghan
1-35 or 36 Square Afghan (12 squares done)
1-Sylvia Cosh Sweater
1-Scarf hanger (had forgotten all about it)
1-apron pattern I'm designing as I go
And although I have the afghan & sweater done for my nephew, I still want to make a hat, booties & thumbless mittens & maybe a stuffed animal to complete the set.

FOs:
4-dishcloths for Kitchen/Bath Swap (I used Drews patterns I bought off Lulu)
1-Nylon Scrubbie for Kitchen/Bath Swap (my own design)
1-Henny Penny
4-Bookmarks for Bookmark Swap
1-Butterfly pin
1-M pillow (tested pattern for WovenSpun)
Several squares for comfortghans for other people
Several squares for my sister's comfortghan I'm making
ummm....I think that's it for this week

OH...and these were all done using my stash, I have purchased no new yarn for anything in the month of May. I've taken the StashBusters challenge.

Yay! It's my first WIP Wednesday, I've never tried this before, although I've thought about it.

-Large tote made from plastic shopping bags. I might be traveling soon (family emergency-ish thing) and I keep my crochet WIPs, needed yarn and tools in a large wicker basket. Impractical for a cross-country drive. So I want a big ol' sturdy plastic tote for the trip. It's coming out nice. I'm getting some interesting patterns by joining different colors of bag stategically.

-Summer poncho. My mother is demanding it in time for a local blues festival in July in a mountain town near here, where it might be cool in the evening. Plus, her favorite musician is Stevie Ray Vaughan, who was known for wearing ponchos. There's even a memorial statue of him in Austin and he's wearing one. Since there's going to be an SRV impersonator there who we've met, I guess she simply couldn't live with the shame of not having just the right poncho for the occaision! ;)

-Harry Potter Ravenclaw scarf. Working it using the tunisian knit stitch, thanks to Tandy (Crochet Smartcat) and her kind donation of afghan hooks. I simply couldn't work it in anything but tunisian... I wanted it so badly to look knitted. It's blue and tan, which is a bit of a compromise between the blue and silver of the movies and the blue and bronze of the books. It has the same deadline as the poncho, as the new Harry Potter book comes out the same day as a blues festival.

-Taiji (Yin/Yang) symbol purse. Doing well in some parts, doing poorly in others. I experimented with round increases on one piece... failed miserabley. Because of the above, more pressing issues, this will probably be a WIP for a while, and may even venture into UFO territory before I pick it back up.

Stuff to come:
-Cool summer hat, for Florida wearing (jeeze it was so hot when I was there last year, for a similar family emergency. Grandma died exactly one year ago today... so I can probably expect similar weather). Maybe, if I have time, some other Florida gear, like a hair holder of some kind.

-Fancy cuffs on a long, scarlet velvet jacket I want for the Harry Potter opening. I found it in the attic recently on a yarn hunt. I had forgotten about it. It's incredibley wicked, except for 3/4 length sleeves, which I don't care for on this item. So I'm going to add interchangable (velcro, anyone?) flaring cuffs. I love this kind of stuff... I dress like the Potterhead (and pirate) that I am. Despite the Ravenclaw scarf, I'm still not sure whether I'm going to the book opening decked in Ravenclaw colors or Gryffindor ones (scarlet and gold). Either way, I have someone to wear the alternate costume.

:blush An embarassing WIP Wed for me. From my list last week the only thing that I got finished was the summer scarves. Yea. That's it. :lurk

So, still on my list is the 2nd slipper in a pair for my daughter, my mary jane's, the tunisian jacket, the shrug, the comfortghan sq. , and now I have also added to the list by starting another project :kick a draped jacket thingie from craftster. I guess I am in some sort of slump. Deneen told me to do some dishcloths. So I am going to try that. Believe it or not I have never made one before. :blink

I have put aside my ruffly baby hat and am making another baby sweater. Those are addicting! They are fast and don't use up that much yarn so I'm depleting my baby colors stash fast. I also have a pair of socks to finish, but I'm not fond of the size. They fit, but they're not snug, so they may get frogged.
