Thanks ya'll =) I'll see if I can't get hubby or son to take a pic of me in it later today, but if not, I'll be wearing it while I'm in Holland so there will def be a picture at some point =)

I'd say it took maybe two and a half days to make, if you don't count the time spent frogging and reworking the short ends because I wasn't happy with the squareness I ended up with at first (which was probably me not understanding the pattern fully) It could be done in more/less time of course, deopending on how long you actually sit and stitch at a time... I worked on it while supervising kiddo's school work when he was suspended and a bit in the evenings while watching dvd's. It does work up pretty quickly though and doesn't take a terrible lot of attention, though once you start on the border I recommend using stitch markers at the spots where you do the increases to get the rounded shape (I didn't the first time and that might also be where I messed up) I probably would have saved myself a lot of time if I had done that in the first place rofl.

I'd make this project again, and just might if my friend likes it in person as much as she did when she saw the picture lol. Might make it for her for Christmas =)
