I've started to make hats for charity. These are my first two.
Thanks to Dot for the Sarah's Shells hat:

I used this pattern http://members.aol.com/crochetwithdee/TexturedSpiral.html to make a textured spiral hat. I added some fun fur for the spiral. Looks like cotton candy!

Nice job! They look great. I have 2 questions about your head. Where did you get it, and do the hats stay on very well, and how much do the heads cost? Okay, 3 questions....it's early! :oops

Not sure on the price of it as I live in Australia, but I'd love to find another one with a smaller head for modelling the childrens hats.
LOL! It's actually funny that you ask about the glass head. I was looking for a manequin type head to model my hats because "actual" manequins (and their heads) kinda freak me out! :loco
So hunny says, "Oh! My brother has had this glass head in his room for ages! I bet he'll let you have it".
It's pretty handy to have. :rock
OH! and YES, the hats stay on great!:w-lol
