Here is a baby poncho I finished a while ago, using this pattern:yarncove.blogdrive.com/Paloma's Poncho (http://yarncove.blogdrive.com/)

I hope that link will work, I don't think her blog has been "active" since this post. Thanks for looking.:)

It worked for me, you have to go to "next page" for the pattern.

That is adorable!!! I love it and would love to try it out for my nieces, but as you guessed, the link doesn't work! Did you save it on your computer or could you email it somehow?

Thanks! It is great!

Lucy- You can really make it any size, it's supposed to be a two-year old size but I think it's more like a one-year old size. But by changing the length of thestarting chain, or using smaller yarn, you could make it a six month size, probably. I think the one in the picture is about a six month size. I'm not sure...:)

If anyone wants the pattern, I have it saved to my computer on Word Pad, and I can email it to them no problem. (Am I allowed to do that?) Well, the site is no longer up, so the link won't work I guess... Hope that isn't against the rules. If it is I will delete this post.:thinking2

No it is super easy. It is all chains and dc's. You do one rectangle at a time and then sew them together. I think this was the first poncho I ever made, and it was super easy. And fast, too.

Hi Mimi! That's because this thread resurfaced after a year. :lol I was looking for the pattern; since my stuff is all in Michigan, and we have a new computer since I made this... I couldn't find it. But, Flybabytina found it in Way Back Machine for me! (Thank you again, Tina!) :hug

I have since made another one, in about a size 8-10 for the grand daughter of one of my elders at Pine Ridge. (I chained 78, and kept going with the pattern until I thought it was wide enough.) I'll post a picture of it here when I'm done with it (I'm on the tie chain right now...)

Here it is:

Image is clickable and you can kind of make out the flower ties. I used Fun Fur Stripes for the edge, and did two rows of sc.

Here is a Barbie 'matching' Palomas Poncho pattern I made up last night. I posted the pattern for how I did it on my pattern blog (http://tinascrochetpage.blogspot.com/2006/04/barbies-palomas-poncho.html), if anyone is interested in making a matching Barbie poncho.

Well I guess photobucket is down right now, so you can see the picture on my blog in the link above.
