As some of you may already know, my husband and I are expecting our first child!! We are very happy and can't wait until June.:c9 I am working on two outfits, (one boy, and one girl) since we do not know the gender yet. And I am not sure if my husband wants to find out. So I am just wanting to be prepared. I have finished the set for a girl and hope to have pictures of it very soon. I used the pattern from Baby Blooms Layette by Leasure Arts.
http://www.leisurearts.com/images/products/3671.jpg (http://www.leisurearts.com/all_skills/baby/default.asp?display=detail&item_num=3671&sort=title&page=2&rec_num=10&from=BK&startRec=10#)
However, I have left out most of the flowers and I change the border of the blanket. I just like it a little more simple. I am still looking for an outfit for a boy. I just can't seem to find one I really like. They are either toooo girly, or are not small enough for a new born. If you have any ideas please let me know, and I will really try to have the pictures of my finished work up soon.

Here (http://crochet.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ/Ya&sdn=crochet&cdn=hobbies&tm=7&gps=65_8_1012_565&f=11&su=p662.5.140.ip_p445.92.150.ip_&tt=14&bt=1&bts=1&zu=http%3A//www.craftyarncouncil.com/projects/nov98_crochproject.html) is a cute one , and you could makde pants instead of just the diaper cover if you wanted to . Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy. When are you due? oh I just noticed June, so maybe just the cover would be great, also check out Bev's patterns, let me know if you need the site, there are lots out there.

I made that set one time, I left off the sleeves for some reason, like a sundress. It was years back, and though I have no kids, I could not part with it :(

No it was very easy. It only took me around one week off and on to complete the pictured items. The pattern also has a sweater, but since I am due early summer, I decided that the blanket will add enough warmth.

Also, I have kind of found a pattern for a boy/girl, but am still sort of looking to see if there is something else out there that jumps out at me.

Wow!!!! I didn't think it would be that easy. If it took you only like a week. That's pretty fast. I seriously want to make this set. It is absolutely beautiful. Thanx for sharing the pics with us.

Oooh, it's so sweet! I'm due in early March with a ?? (need a "surprise" smilie!) and I am so tempted to make all the little dresses I see. I like the stripey outfit that was linked, too. May have to make that after I finish my blanket.
