My mom, the model (http://shinigami.rydia.net/crochet/shawl3.jpg):lol
Here's the pattern. (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-prayerShawl.html)
I used Red heart Light and Lofty instead of HomeSpun. The collar just happens when the neck edge folds over.

Thanks all! :ty It's very soft and warm. My mom loves wearing it at night when she's sitting watching TV:w-grin . Such a simple pattern, too!

Cool! Er, maybe I should say "warm!" :D! Here's my mom, wearing her Christmas present (same shawl, even did the same thing around the neck as yours): Happy mom (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/goldilocks316/Done%20Deal/Happygiftrecipient.jpg)
You wouldn't believe that gal is 94, would you? She did something right!
These shawls are great, so simple to make and a big pay-off when completed, too. And yes, they are very warm!
Nice job - mom looks pretty pleased with it. Mine told me she wants to be buried in hers, lol! I'm hoping she gets a lot of living out of it first...
