I'll work on the pattern tonite, I want to do a child's size pattern as well. I won't be posting the pattern here though, it will be available on my website as soon as I get it set up.

I made something similar with different colors, but yours looks better. (I used some tutorial thing that teaches you how to crochet all spiral-y.)
