i'm looking for some sort of cool pattern for a scarf. i checked crochet pattern central's scarf page and couldn't find anything. the yarn i have is uber chunky. it's plymouth yarn - baby alpaca grande brand. very soft. luxurious. any suggestions? any help will gladly be appreciated.

If it is a really fat yarn you could use a K hook or size close to that, and ch 17, dc in the fourth ch froom hook, (makes a V st) skip 2 ch and dc, ch1, dc in next sp, to end, turn, ch 4 and dc in center of first V st, then V st across in each ch 1 sp, keep going, turning and ch4 at end of each row till it is long as you want it. This is what I usully do. don't know if there is a pattern out there for this, this is just how I make them usually. Should have 5 V sts across. V st is dc, ch1, dc in same space.
