Looking for crocheted patterns for curtains. Nothing too fancy (especially if it's thread) but rather good, sturdy and adaptable. I've already been to CrochetPatternCentral and only found one that I remotely liked, so looking for other suggestions.
Thanks ... the windows in the house I'm moving into thank you as well. Right now they're naked, and they deserve more than sets of blinds.

I don't know if this will work, but I think that, if you are looking for something like panels/drapes, you could maybe adapt a table runner and work it in a heavier yarn and fill in the blocks instead of working them as "open".

Does that make sense?:think

I agree if you don't like the curtains you've already found, think outside the box.
Here's a nice thread throw that might work:

Or a table topper:

You could do this valance or something like it:

I was thinking of adapting a tablecloth pattern or something, being as curtains are basically giant rectangles. However, I figured there might be something really great out there that I'd miss out on if I didn't ask.
I might even be able to sew some curtains, if we can get my (really heavy) sewing machine moved, and if I ever feel so inclined to use it.

*Wonders if she should hint at getting a newer, lighter sewing machine for her birthday ... he might be inclined to after having to move my old one.
