Somewhere, there must be a crochet pattern for a long or full-length coat/jacket! I have found a pattern by Leisure Arts for a long hooded cape, but my daughter wants a coat similar to the cape (it has a large drapey hood) and wants me to add sleeves to the cape, but I haven't a clue as to how to do that. I know I can always lengthen some of the shorter coat/jacket patterns but we have yet to find one that we like. The cape is done is double crochet so it is very simple but no sleeves like my daughter wants!

Anyone know of a crochet pattern like this? Thanks for your help!

Hello
I just got a copy of the Jan issue of Crochet! magazine and there is a long jacket done in half double and looks somewhat easy to do. It does not have hood but should be easy to add

Kelley, FreePatterns.com (http://www.freepatterns.com) has a Hooded Irish Cape (I think is the name). It is in the "Wearables" category, under "Crochet". You will need to sign up for membership to access these patterns, but membership is free. Hope this is what you are looking for. Good luck!

Here's a few from Lion Brand - they could be made longer by continueing the stitch pattern and then you can find another pattern of something with a hood and use that to get your hood going!

This is a great pattern designed by our own Shelle Hendrix Cain and she sells it on her web site. Since she designed it, I'm sure she could help make a modification to add a hood! She's very nice and quite talented!

Thank you for your responses!

Kedutchgirl, I have that issue (forgetful me!) and that will work but I will have to add a hood which I could do by using the hood from the hooded cape pattern that I have. I think my problem is solved! :clap

Funkyreporter and victoriarose, I had looked at lionbrand.com before and didn't find anything that my daughter or I liked. While the cape was ok at freepatterns.com, it was a cape, and I'm looking for something with sleeves.

Thanks again everyone for your help!!
