We got a mini Dachshund a couple of weeks ago, and it's finally starting to get cold around here. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place, or book where I could find a pattern for her. I'm not very good at adjusting patterns for fit and size, so I'd need a pretty specific pattern. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!
Thank you very much.

Have you checked out crochet pattern central? They have several dog sweaters listed under the "pet" section. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Yes, I go to that site regularly. Lol. I just haven't found anything specific to a Mini Dachshund. I'm probably asking a lot, but I've never made clothes before, and I'm worried about how to adjust the pattern for her size and everything.

I made one... without a pattern.... see my blog here---> http://flybabytina.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_flybabytina_archive.html
It was actually quite easy.... I started with a chain long enough to go around his neck, then just kept going in the round, trying it on him every couple of rows to check the fit, then once I got to the belly I started decreasing on each side to make the back section and since he is a boy, I had to make sure that it wouldn't get peed on... then made a straight back and forth in rows for the back... then I made the chains for straps to hold it in place..... It was very easy, and because he is such a little thing, it went quick.... It was easier for me to kinda wing it instead of follow a pattern and try and alter for his size and shape.....

Thanks for the tips. I'll try them out and see how it goes. I wish I was better at adapting a pattern to my own needs. Hopefully I'll find something before it snows!!
Thank you again.
