I finally finished my rose shawl. I got it from womansday.com and I think it turned out pretty good. My daughter is the model and decided she would pose for you all. Hope you like it. Mary

Is that filet? I admire your patience and talent! Did you use thread for that? What size of thread did you use? It's very elegant! :)h

Aint that a great pattern to make? I just love it..
I had made one for my sister for her wedding.
What kind of thread/yarn did you use to make yours?
I had used patrons grace.. The next one I am going to make I am going to use the patrons divine(I think that is the one, it has sparkles in it)..
Great job. Hard to see the photos well though as they are real tiny..

I think someone meant Patons Katrina, not the Divine. Divine is a mohair blend.
Anyway, Mary, it turned out great!!! I've made this shawl for a co-worker that was going through chemo. She loved it! Curious as to what yarn you used. I used the Katrina that I mentioned above.

You must have the patience of a saint....I've made a couple of large filet projects and I tell you........WOW! I've been tempted to make that and I just don't like to spend that much time on something unless I'm making for somebody else who had me in a head-lock and making me do it! LOL
So beautiful! ANOTHER WOW!

Well, after I got done drooling, I went hunting. Here's a printable page link for the pattern, for those who may be interested:
www.womansday.com/article...e_number=1 (http://www.womansday.com/article.asp?print_page=y§ion_id=3&article_id=6718&page_number=1)
Don't know if you used the materials called for in the pattern, but it's a good place to start for those of us considering it. Roses are very special to me, so this will definitely be moved up on my ever-growing "wannado's" list...
