RachelG,
I have visited the free website you sent and have not found what I've been looking for. THe dianelangan website has several I like, but I don't really want to send away for them. I don't have a paypal account. I am looking for some original free shrug/bolero patterns. Thanks. -Jeannie

Jeannie,
Unfortunately, all available free crochet shrug patterns (with pictures) are listed on Crochet Pattern Central. I don't think you will find any more.

I was searching for a shrug pattern this morning. I decided on this one:

I don't know if you've seen this one.

I've made two of them. I like this pattern and find it easier to work than the intermediate level they label it.

I just gave two of these to my grand daughter for Christmas - She absolutely loved them, kept changing from one to the other . . .

I just finished a shrug-a-licious in light grey simply soft & it is really beautiful. The pattern is really well written & easy to follow too.:)

You said you found some on the dianelangan.com site-did you realize that some of them are free?
And many of the yarn companies have free patterns (though most are at CPC mentioned above)
Lion Brand
Patons
Bernat
Coats and Clark
Caron
If you linked a picture to something that you do like maybe we can help a little more.
Good luck

Thanks so much for all input on the shrug patterns. I think I found "the one. Check this one out from the Moda Dea website: http://www.modadea.com/patterns/LM0242.htm (http://www.modadea.com/patterns/LM0242.htm)
One more question...this is a stupid one...do i begin where it says "back"? I always find patterns that just say, "begin." I am not supposed to follow that pattern stitch first, right.
If anyone comes across another similar to this one, let me know---Jeannie --

that is assembles like a cardigan/sweater so you crochet the "back" piece then probably 2 "front" pieces and 2 "sleeves" then sew them all together
hope that helps
