I just finished the cutest little doll outfit.
My mom gave me a doll she'd been saving back since my childhood and I decided to give her a new outfit since her old one was shot!

My camera is horrible, but I used lilac and purple RedHeart and some pretty purplish fire opal looking buttons. The pattern was from an American School of Needlework leaflet I picked up from the Salvation Army.
The outfit had a bonnet that goes with it, but I decided I'd like to make her a little headband instead. I used the rose pattern from Lion Brand's website and then just did a chain/double crochet to fit around her head.

What a great idea! And it turned out so nice! Now you just have to display it "all" the time!

Love it!
Great idea about doing a headband rather than a bonnet.

Thanks everyone
I've decided she's going to sit on my bed during the day while it's made. My hubbie's totally creeped out by her (I think he's creeped out by dolls in general) but he'll have to deal lol.
I'm thinking about making her different little outfits for the holidays. Valentine's day is over, but a little pink dress would be cute, and maybe a little green outfit with a cute hat for Saint Patricks hehe

She looks gorgeous in her new outfit! Her face looks to me like the Madame Alexander Pussycat style face. I had one as a child, a hand me down from my older sister and it didn't make a family move when I got older :( I actually bought a new one a couple years back that has the same face, they still make them!
She's adorable! beautiful work!

Cute!
I like the idea of the pink dress. Just in time for Easter....Don't you think she needs one of Chelle's Lacy ponchos in white to go over the pink dress?

Oooh, a poncho would be darling!
She's a Madame Alexander doll and she was made in 1977. I didn't notice until I was looking at her outfit yesterday that it's the original with the Madame Alexander tag still in it.
