very rarely does a pattern come along that inspires me to make two in a row.. this one did !!

here they are .. one in homespun and trimmed in something furry .. the other in three yarns i picked up at Melanies... the pink and variegate are thick/thins and the peach is a nice soft textured yarn ..

:lol I was wondering what the "blob" was in the thumbnail. Now I see it's a kitty. (the eyes aren't so good) I love the shawls. Looks like kitty does too. :D

They are absolutely gorgeous! :artist The pink one is breathtaking.

Is this the serafina (http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/donisfuff/croshawl.html) pattern? Or is there another shawl of this type out there?

Well done!!

these are both gifts rebecca...i should have said that.. its explained on my blog and i just think every one reads there *silly me* so i dont explain meself twice..

thank you every one for your kind comments.. the first one is going to a friends m other who almost died a few weeks ago and the second is going to Melanie.. since she neither knits nor crochets.. and is always so generous with me ..

Awesome shawls!! I can't wait to try out this pattern!

Lauri: here is the pattern for the Butterfly Shawl (http://p084.ezboard.com/fcrochetvillefrm53.showMessage?topicID=66.topic) It's an original pattern by Holly (one of our own here at Crochetville)

Oooh very nice Elizabeth!!!!

I love seeing what other people do with my pattern <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/bounce012.gif" />

I'm especially tickled you are giving one to Melanie, that is really sweet!!! <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/bouquet2.gif" />

Lauri, I see Dawn linked you to the pattern already (thanks Dawn!) I really liked the Serafina shawl, but I was always messing up the counts for the increase spots. So I came up with my own pattern that is pretty mindless

I thought, perhaps, *your* name was Holly. The only other moniker on the post was threeolivemartini. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/blush.gif" /> I'm sorry to say that I'm not up on everyone's names and families and such.

Thanks for the link, I started one this afternoon and shall post piccies when I get a bit further.

These are beautiful shawls..inspiring me to make one (and maybe I already posted a comment, but a day later I'm still loving them shawls). What beautiful gifts to receive.
I'm sure they would be HOT sellers at your market booth.
