And here is a close-up of the detachable brooch.

I have some design changes I need to make to the ponchette but the brooch is finished. I'll be making another soon that will be the final draft.

Thanks all for the wonderful comments, but like I said this is still very much a design in progress, I don't want it to look like anything that's already available. And this will be the first pattern I have for sale on my website(which is currently under construction!!) The pattern won't include the flower brooch though, I'll be making that a seperate pattern since it can be used on other things as well (coats, purses, etc...). I will also be adding pics on my site of custom ponchettes, handbags and shawls crocheted by me, as well as taking orders if I don't have what someone wants already made up.

that is so creative. great job! if you make another maybe the feather could be more than one color. White and brown maybe, like an eagle feather. wow, that is just amazing! I'm in love. maybe I'll take the feath and flower broach and put that on a shawl I've seen that looks like eagle wings.
