Here is a scarf I made my nephew. So soft and very "manly!" haha.

Here are two ponchos from Chelle's pattern. I made one for my 4 1/2 month old niece and one for my 4 year old niece.

I just love that scarf!!:fluffy it looks really soft and warm--great color for a guy, too. I agree, very manly:box

For the scarf. All I did was used two different yarns. I think the black and gray one was Bernat something...I would have to check. And the gray is just like a Red Heart 4-ply worsted weight, I think.

I chained about 17, turned and DC in the 3rd stitch from the hook and all the way across. At the end, I only chained one, turned the work and DC in every stitch across. I did 4 rows with the Bernat and then 3 rows with the regular gray yarn. So, the whole thing is just DCs!

* I only chained one on each end because I was trying to avoid that hole you get when you chain 3 on every end and skip the first DC and it worked!*
