My Niece is getting married in Sept and she collects barbies. I want to crochet a wedding Barbie/fashion doll and I am having trouble finding a pattern that I like. Anyone have a pattern that is not done in a southern belle style? any help is appreciated.

Here's something I found on ebay, it's a pattern for a crocheted wedding dress for Barbie.

If you would be willing (or know how) to knit, there is a pattern in "Knits for Barbie" by Nicky Epstein. (I have that book, and it is terriffic.

Here's one:

Found it at CPC, there is another but think won't work if posted.

Some of these might work if you change them to white:

More here, again you'll have to change the color if you find something you like. It's PDF:

Nicky Epstein also wrote a "Crochet for Barbie" book that we just checked out from the library. My 8yo DD is drooling over two wedding dresses, neither of which are southern-belle style. Have fun with this project!!
