Has anyone ever heard of a "plaited" afghan? A lady I met at work this week was telling me she used to make them, The way she exlpained it was that it is crocheted in strips and woven together.

Plaited usually is another word for braided. Perhaps that's what she referred to.

hi there, plait is the word we use for braid. Someone from the ville RAOKed me a hooked on Crochet book (no 91 feb 2002) On the front cover is a plaited scraps Afghan. It looks lovely and is strips of treble/dc plaited and then edged and joined in the mile a minute fashion. Maybe you can track this magazine down. Sorry I am not giving mine away as these are like hens teeth here and I just love it!
