Newbie seeks (easy) patterns

Hey I'm new to the message board and I'm still a beginner at crocheting but I'm searching for easy patterns to crochet stuff animals such as amigurumi or other animal patterns. Or patterns for messenger bags that would be the right size for school text books. If anyone knows any good patterns please help a girl out!
