My EGS (age 6) has been invited to go to the theater by a little friend that happens to be a girl. She's a tiny little one, 4 or 5 years old, but about the size of my 2 year old grandson (who is a bit big for his age). I thought it might be nice to make her a little thank you gift, as she told her mother that my EGS is the only acceptable escort for her holiday theater outings. (Last year she invited him to see The Nutcracke.) So, here's the poncho I made her. The model is my GD who is probably twice the size of EGS "date." :D

As usual, I started out following a pattern and then, well..... It just took on a life of it's own and voila!

Thank you all for your kind words. Today is the day of the play so we'll see how DGSs little friend likes the poncho. I had made a pony tail hat to go with it because the last time I saw her she and long long hair. Found out too late that she now sports a pageboy. No, I didn't even get to see her model it. EGS has soccer tonight and she's on the "team" so I'll send camera along with ED to capture a picture if it gets brought along. Course it won't be as cute without them being all dressed up, but....
