No, but it is absolutely beautiful. Maby you could contact the seller and ask about the pattern source, they may tell you where you can purchase it. They might even sell it to you if its a book or phamplet.

Hi Heart,

I emailed the seller, I have seen 3 different people making this, and all have told me it is their own design. I have also asked for and been willing to purchase their patterns, with no response.:(

I thought about buying it and trying to copy the pattern.

Wow that is really pretty, I just went through all my butterfly/pineapple butterfly patterns I have and I don't find any with the flower in the center like this one.

3 originals huh, LOL, I will keep my eyes out and if I come across anything I will let you know as long as it's not somethiing that would be a copyright violation. I too would love to find this pattern as I love butterflies.

Good Luck
Pam

Thank you Pam,

That was sweet of you to go thru your patterns!!!

Yes, very original when 3 people all make the same thing, that is what I thought. Oh well.

Thanks for the link! I hadn't seen this one before! :D

You know, if you look at the 2 pictures closely, it looks like they took an irish rose, then put row 2 of a regular granny square behind it and just went from there with the same pattern as this butterfly, just the edging is different. Maby try making it that way and see what happens. You might just be able to make something like what you want.:hook

I agree with Sarah (heart) that it can be figured out from the picture, which is a very clear one.

It looks like the one from Maggie's, just with the rose in the center.

Hi Michele, I am new here to the forum, joined about a month or so ago but I remembered your post.
There is one very close to the one you show in the picture in "Annie's Favorite Crochet" July/August 1999 number 100. The title of the patterns shown is, Irish Rose Elegance-Ornaments.
I know you said you were going to work on one anyway but wanted to let you know:)
