I stumbled across this on Yarnification's blog last night. I had this Moda Dea Sassy Stripes just begging to be made into socks, but never made them. I found this awesome pattern and finished one sock already.

Oh gee, I wanna try that one! I wear a very small shoe (4-1/2) and have so much trouble getting socks to fit!

Question...... On the site she uses the lighter yarn. Can mercerized cotton be used? It looks so nice and feels good in my hand.

I just started a pair of these last night, and so far, I really like the pattern. Easy, even for a beginner like me, LOL!

I made these and they turned out really cute. I used Trekking XL yarn.
I called them the macaroni and cheese socks because that's what the color reminded me off. The foot stretched really long when they went through the washer, but turned out ok. I had to reduce the size of the leg because I have skinny ankles (that's the only thing) and if I make them again I will make the leg longer as well. I will definitely make another pair. They were cute and fast. :cheer
you can see them on my blog at: http://btpsmom.blogspot.com/2005_11_28_btpsmom_archive.html

Yay this will be great to try. Since I lost so much weight all of my socks are falling off. I wasn't going to make any for myself since all of the patterns I found would be so chunky.

I'm thinking cotton may be too hard. Crocheted socks form little bumps that feel like pebbles under your feet, so beware if you arent using a non"bouncy" yarn like cotton.
