I recently bought 3 balls of Reggia (or Regia or however it's spelled) sock yarn on sale. They were only 3 bucks a ball so I couldn't pass them up, but they were ends of dye lots so I have one red/orange, one purpley, and one blue/gray. I would love to make some cozy slippers or socks from these but I don't know if I have enough of one color!

For the yarn swap I sent Nashville_crocheter 2 balls of Moda Dea Crazy Stripes (or whatever it's called) which were 50gm balls (same size these are, I think they're fingering weight, maybe a bit heavier) and she said she's made a pair of slippers from one ball. If you see this Barbara, what pattern did you use? Can anyone else suggest a pattern (doesn't HAVE to be slippers) good for this amount of yarn? I don't have any small kids around to make a tiny pair for, so I am at a loss.

By the way, I'm about a size 8 foot. :D!

I haven't used sock yarn yet, or a pattern come to think of it ;) But my first socks were made with a 50g ball of thin yarn, though that pair I made as tubes, no heel. I have a size 5 1/2-6 foot, but they're wide.

When I've looked at sock yarn online, the description one one said that one ball makes one sock, but I'm guessing they mean whole socks rather than ankle socks, which is what I've been making.

When I used the sugar n cream cotton it took one ball per sock though.

Probably not much help lol, but there's my limited experience for ya lol
