Pam's pattern

I just started Pam's sock pattern and have a question or two. Are the rounds joined? When you get to this point in the pattern (Sc across front half of tube (18 sts). Chain 18, and attach on the other side of the tube.) are you supposed to slip stitch till you get to the point where you sc 18 stitches? Am I reading the pattern wrong? :wha

Yes, slip stitch across until you get to the point where you chain 18 and join again at where you started the sl st. Then start working in sc rounds at that point.

Thanks Julie, my first sock is about half done now. I find that my tension is a bit loose, when I put it on my foot I can see through it abit. Maybe I should frog it and start over. I visited your website, I love the 63 squares afghan crochet along. Your colors are really nice. I'd love to join but not sure if I have the time. Not enought hours in the day! LOL
