Wanted: Thick Socks Pattern

My mom has requested a pair of thick socks to wear around the house. Any suggestions for yarn and a pattern? Her fave color is red.

I like this one Toe Up Socks (http://www.graftonfibers.com/socks.htm) because it can be made to fit as you go along and can be made out of any size yarn one happens to want to use.:thumbsup

Hmmm...I printed out both of those patterns and they look good.
