:bang I'm getting frustrated. No matter how many times I try, I can't get the hang of this. Which direction are you supposed to spin the hand spindle? My starter thread always kinks up and nothing happens!!! I'm getting really discouraged. :worried

as far as which direction to spin--- thats up to you, i spin clockwise.
do you have you leader around the hook correctly?


face your spindle to where the hook opening is toward you, pull your leader to where it is coming off the spindle right in front of you, hold it still with your left thumb, and wrap it around the back of the hook, going from right to left, and then under the hook.

let me know if this is totally confusing or not what your problem was to begin with :p
